I have found an Indy Steampunk Squad-tactics game, but...

It was a 10-week cycle game-making school project, and there is no place to download it. But I'm sure their creators might be interested in putting it available online, if someone from Codex contacts and can convince them. It's called SteamGunners. Here are its videos:

Can someone skilled in "E-diplomacy" contact them?

Codex 2012 Codex 2013 Codex 2014 PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 BattleTech Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
Wow. That looks really professional and original, but I'm willing to bet they haven't released it because it's light on content. In the video there's only one enemy--the pitchfork wielding "peasants."

Also, judging on the YouTube comment, it looks like they've dropped the project and moved onto something else. I'd really like to see this game come to fruition though.

That looks absolutely incredible for a 10-week project. I wonder if they tried to find a publisher, or some kind of funding?

I hate to nitpick but "Indy" is the nickname for my hometown (Indianapolis). "Indie" for independent is the word I think you were looking for ;) Unless the game was made in or based on Indianapolis. In that case I am a fool. We do have our fair share of pitchfork wielding peasants after all.

Wow, that looks very Fallout Tactics-ish. I can't say I'm a big fan of what looks like run and gun gameplay where the "gun" bit is automated out of necessity for a real-time system, but that does look like a nicely polished and well put together demo.

I'm sorry. It's bad enough being in Bloomington.

I guess I'm too used with the naming of another site.

http://www.indymedia.org.uk

PS: I'm not a liberal(I hate political correctness and gun control laws) and as a parallel, no matter if it was clearly biased by the opinion of "hardcore gamers", an http://www.indygamingmedia.org would be interesting to counteract the effect of corporate gaming journalism just like indymedia was originally born to counteract the effect of pseudo-leftist, pro-capitalist, pro-business and/or pro-government corporate journalism(though lately IndyMedia has "changed"), should it become famous enough.

What called my attention first was the fact it was steampunk and an indy game. And even though real-time and apparently "run and gun"(going around without tactics was suicide), I have great memories of when I played Syndicate. And yes, they seem to be much more capable than the average Bethesda schmuck who has Paper Mario and Halo as favorite games for doing so much in only 10 weeks.

That demo makes me think that only 10% of what would constitute an actual game has been done. You're naive if you think they're gonna do the 90% left just because of "e-diplomacy".

I'm only interested in getting my hands in the tech demo version of their project to check it, and because it'll be the only steampunk squad-tactics based game(even if unfinished) around. I also have an interest to see how far exactly 10 weeks can get some people into game development.
