Codex Year of the Donut Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
So occasionally there'll be a sale on GOG, Steam, etc, that is of interest to the Codex. However, making a newspost for each and every one of these sales comes across as spammy and money-grubbing.

Why not have a ticker or sidebar that displays current RPG sales on digital distribution portals, with a Codex referral link? I don't mean anything automated - we'd configure it manually.

Maybe we can work with GOG to develop some kind of widget that would basically RSS feed their sales thing and we could link it on the front page. I don't know what I said either.

Codex USB, 2014
this is the worst thing ever implemented besides that emoticon tagging we had for a couple of days.
it's distracting and looks like shit (LAGS over the screen... doesn't ever run smoothly).

all ideas I've ever had for the codex have been fucking great. if you need a great fucking idea just ask me.

For what it's worth I like your idea, even if I'm not sure what you just said either.

Why don't we use this ticker-thing on the front page for "big deal" stories instead of the existing block / the sticky system? It'd get some of the NEW news stories above the fold (as would not having all of the posts be so damned long / using teasers / etc)
