The use of a $ in the word cash, is making you look cool, and not silly in any way. Keep it up.
What about "Micro$oft"?
Equally cool. I can pat you on the head if you want.

Fixed. Again. This is getting tedious.
Try to get it right on your own the next time, eh?

3D looks so much better than 2D
I stopped reading there. Who says so? It's not true. It's just not true.
As it is a well known fact that you are like a fly to a turd, when it comes to retarded posts, how about churning your valiant retard-paladin powers on this thread? That'll test them for sure.

Finished with your little fight guys? Maybe you can start talking about what you think of this game (from what you have seen so far) in regards to combat, dialogue, etc?

Simply the ability to move your camera around to a view that feels most comfortable to the player makes it superior.
Nope. Nice try, though. R00fles!

But seriously, in some 3D games it turns out to be effectively less comfortable, because you have to adjust the camera all the time.

Agreed. It can be just another time wasting thing, wrestling with the mouse. If the game is designed well, this is rarely needed, even in the case of looking behind buildings.

Its not a terrible addition, but I agree that its not necessary and can even be a pain.

You're arguing a different point. Of course a -bad- 3D implementation is worse than a good 2D one, but taken on their own merits, a good 3D implementation is superior to a good 2D one. Its quite easy to lock a 3D camera to a 2D style view, if thats what you feel most comfortable with (see Warcraft3) but the fact remains that 3D can do everything 2D can, plus give you the freedom to look around, plus is more gfx memory efficient, plus can benefit from realtime lighting effects. It simply has a greater feature set. Hence, almost all devs are moving away from it. *shrug*

Implementing a sprite based system as he talked about is probably not more time or money efficient, as you still have to model, rig and animate the 3D characters for generating the sprites through that program (and pay the artists who to do it, the main money sink).

Backdrops may be cheaper than creating 3D buildings (Assuming they are painting the buildings, and not prerendering 3D models as with the characters), but I'm not sure. Don't underestimate the work that goes into making sprites etc.

For him though it certainly is time/money efficient. He's not going to modify the engine, or move to a new one. So no argument there. But it might not be, generally.
