I've got to join in on the Lazarus Love going on here :bro:

Still one of the best games I've played in a loooooong time. The music  the writing  the quests  and best of all  IT FELT LIKE A RETURN TO BRITANNIA  It was a real Ultima game!!

BLOBERT, you have to give Lazarus a full play-through... you won't be dissapointed my friend.

Enough loving on Lazarus... I have to agree with Jaesun, U6P is almost as good as Lazarus but I hated the Dungeons. They felt more like a chore than a fun dungeon romp, especially the Ant Mound!! I'm glad they are redoing many of the dungeons because the rest of the game (up to the point I stopped which was most of the Shrines cleared) is wonderful. It gave me the same smile as Lazarus did. I felt like this was a real Ultima game and returning to Britannia was fun again

:salute:

The Dungeons in Lazarus will kick your fucking ass. With or without magic axes.
I don't remember them being that difficult, but then I thought combat in Lazarus in general was relatively easy (moreso than in 5 for sure), though it was a bit like 7 in terms of RT clusterfuck (though at least you had some control over the party members). But dungeons were great, tons of fun to go through. The Underworld was confusing as hell to navigate, but then that was the whole point of the Underworld in 5.

Thanks for the link. Good to see they haven't abandoned it yet.

I should have said more precisely, the Underworld and the Final Dungeon will kick your ass.

A few of the other optional dungeons could be nasty too.
