Last of our heroes of old have proven to be less than a shade of their former selves. Cancer reached the final cell, time of death 25 October 2019.

Sure, grizzled old stubborn grogs can delude themselves there's glimmer of hope to be found in Ohio, but let's be honest, it's over.

There is no more looking back. There are no more what ifs, only has beens.

How does this make you feel? Are you relieved to let go of stretch goals and finally stop chasing that dragon?

The future is bright though, for incline sprouts from most unusual places these days. Feels like we should talk more about it.

Hasn't that been the status quo of RPGs for a while at this point? Japs and Euros have been bringing out the good output even back when the US was as well. Besides, nothing wrong with throwing Ziets a bone when he hasn't announced a crowdfunder campaign (yet).

And yes, the Captain Alex RPG adaption will in fact be the most inclined and based role-playing experience once it comes out.

This is all that matter tho as long as decent games are being made at least once a year I dont give a fuck who made it or where it was made. However there is not much to discuss about good games like they are good and there is no point in repeating it again and again. On the other hand trashing bad games is always fun.

Could be worse.
Actually gaming market is growing and Indies get their chance to create one good game and vanish.
We're over the age of decline.

Disco Elysium must pave the way for European RPGs, and we still have Japs making god-tier games. USA is over.

Pave the way?

They are already here. Western European from Piranha Bytes and Spiders. The Centre and Eastern Europe proudly represented by the Witchers, Underrail, Atom, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Kingdom Come. Disco Elysium stands among them as the new great offering from the region.

There were never heroes but teams of adventurers doing the deed. Most of the people that took the glory were a small part of what it made those games good. Also we don't need hope because we have eastern europa producing games for the old grogs.
