Wasn't it supposed that player forgets something here and there and then improvise on the field in order to make up for it? Wasn't the game supposed to allow improvisations?z o o l said:WetWorks said:New Supply system

The post from Jochen was from may and back in these days the fog of war was still integrated. Even in times of the gamescom in August it was integrated. And back in these days the fog of war was still part of the gameplay. But it was cut. Not because it wasn't working (It actually worked. Not like some sites may claim that the engine wasn't capable of doing so) but it was not fun at all. Features can change during developement and in this case it happened. It may have been communicated to early.
However let me explain why it wasn't fun: The fog of war lead to dozens of trial and error situations which were not very funny. not knowing where an enemy is was kinda frustrating and the game paused all the way cause you're facing yet another enemy. You couldn't really use tactics but just move along and try to survive. It had nothing to do with deeper tactics and tricking out the AI but just fighting with some luck. In several testrounds with a lot of people it was decided to cut the fog of war.

That's pretty rad. Fuck me dead, as DU put it.not knowing where an enemy is was kinda frustrating and the game paused all the way cause you're facing yet another enemy. So I went to that board again, and this is what I brought back:
Oh and apparently there's only one attachment slot per weapon too. And no IMP creation:

The title of this topic should be changed to Jagged Alliance: Retarded
Why not, given that the series has finally crossed over into full-fledged RPG terrritory now that it has horrible combat.I don't see a valid reason (except in case that rage inducement and possible entertainment with S&M elements that derives from it is considered a valid reason) why this abomination is covered at the RPG Codex.
while RTS contemporaries like Fallout, X-com, and Syndicate have moved on to new genre styles, the fact that publisher and developer Kalypso have decided to stay the course with this franchise is appealing.
it’s an awesome way to fuse real-time and turn-based strategy games. I’m honestly impressed and hope other games steal this idea.
armour not repairable was in a few mods and i thought about it before too, because it makes somewhat sense. On the other hand, quite a few other objects would also fall into the category of "not repairable in the field" like advanced optics and stuff. Not a big deal though.
You can't climb every type of roof in Ja2 either. As long as it makes somwhat sense where you can climb and where not... In some experiment long ago i had managed to have skyrider drop my mercs ontop of a roof from his Heli. They should do that where you can't normally climb the building. But who am i kidding here probably two ladders in each map and maybe an elevator if someone was creative for once
different ammo types should be there, at least according to what i read. But unlikely that it comes with much detail.
retarded level up system is but it may stop 3 people from grinding and appease 3 rpg fags

Riiiight.
Cramming this much wrong into a single sentence is quite an achievement.A few gems from the Gamezone preview:
