I remember liking some of Perfect World's imagery and music (I think some of it was licensed from a Western composer, like Ether Blade's music). The Untamed race/class where you play as a tiger beastman. The central neutral city with the ancient brickwork and statues. The City of Raging Tides from the mermaid expac, which introduced a cool new race and class with the mermaid mage guy and his orbs.

Perfect World was a pretty good game. I played the MY version and tried out PWI when it got released. Unfortunately, PWI was terrible and bot-infested to boot. They also renamed Werebeast/Werefox for some reason.

I was referring mostly to current day gacha games, the most globally successful ones from China and Korea all use "standard" Japanese anime aesthetics, not some freakish mutants that Koreans love so much for example. Really makes you think.
