Was going to be a day one purchase for me, but no mouse support and no manual save. Also, no step sound when moving in the dungeon. If you decide to map it by hand that makes it kind of a pain. Think I'll pass for now.

Pretty faithful recreation of the Wizardry formula, including attribute decreases on level-up (save scumming is your friend)

Is it sensible like the Apple ][ version or absurd like the DOS version?

Feels a bit over the top like the DOS version, though its very random, sometimes 4 attributes go down by 1, sometimes none, usually 1 or 2 attributes go down by 1

I never really understood that stupid reasoning in wizardry games. I liked everything about wizardry but that. I play to level not to lose stats. Always felt retarded. Bardstale seemed better even if only 1 stat. I should replay wiz games dos and bug this on steam and see what a playththrough on stats ends up as.

A lot of actions transparently trigger the saving of game's status to disk. For what it's worth, one of those many actions is when you exit the Character Sheet window/screen.

As for itch, I made an account there a few weeks ago and looked into what my options were. Just PayPal and Stripe. PayPal has a long, long history of ripping off its customers, confiscating their money for no reason, and is just an all-around shady, disreputable company. I haven't yet looked into Stripe in-depth, but I will get to it in when I can. If Stripe doesn't raise any red flags for me, then I'm not against putting Jettatura on itch.

megidolaon what are the level sizes? I'm still exploring level 1 and it looks like it would need at least a 26x26 grid or more. Or are they not uniform?

Every floor is within a 20x20 space.

Stairs and elevators are vertically consistent. Stairways occupy their own square, so when you walk up or down a flight, your X/Y grid-position moves forward by 2 rather than 1.

I assume that like in Wizardry the levels loop around on themselves at the edges.

I have yet to be ripped off by paypal (knocks on wood) and I use it a LOT! Generally, use as many security options as possible with your online stuff VPN or no VPN. I have it send me a code to my phone for tertiary alert along with thumbprint to my account (don't have face recog phone yet) and email password. Dunno if i can add to that.

I have had some kickstarters, supplement shops and drivethruRPG just fail and not purchase but no losing money.

calculated total attribute points of each race

human 57
dwarf 55
wood elf 57
high elf 56
gnome 55
halfling 55
rat-man 54

guess there is no difference gameplay wise between races

Okay, how do I see what stats give an item that is in the shop? What's the key? I happen to be blind and retarded, and I can't see anything in the manual in regards to that.

you cant

I have been using this works for most of items

https://www.crimsontear.com/gaming/wizardry-6/items

regarding character creation when making 6 characters only attributes that rolled were 7, 10 and 20. Getting 20 took less than 1 minute for each character.

ended up with:
knight, samurai, highlander,
thief, cleric (respec into wizard) and mage (respec into wizard)

Its probably obvious for most of players but evil and good characters cannot be in same party so need to choose between samurai and ninja

Okay.

2nd question then: if I choose to play with a 4-man party, and I want 1 person in front, and 3 in the back, how do I configurate that? Once again... I can't seem to find that in the manual.

Any plans to release this on GOG?

If all the floor maps fit within a 20x20 space, that's easy enough to memorize with a few runs through the place. Anyone who needs auto-mapping for a 20x20 floor must suffer from short term memory loss.
