He's in charge of an underground bunker in a world ravaged by nukes, what did you expect?

It's not the exchange rate that makes the game expensive. It's just the fact that not every country is as rich as the US. I only make about 600 Euros per month here in the US, and I have a friend who can't find a job at all. He makes $0 per month. So there is no shortage of exceptions to the rule, but most Americans are some very fat cats indeed. I've lived in countries where the average salary is $100 per month and even $15 per month. So he's actually from a somewhat rich country. Just not as rich as the US.

I think I've decided not to donate to this one. The game is already well funded. If they make a game that I like I won't mind paying $50 for a copy when it's done. Weisman doesn't have a history of making good computer games, and I've never played his console games. Some of his ideas sound good to me, but there's just too much uncertainty here. They haven't really decided what kind of game they want to make and for what audience. Perhaps they'll decide depending on how much money they get. They haven't even announced whether the mobile design will be entirely separate from the PC version. Once they've made some more decisions about the game design and target audience I'd consider pre-ordering if they offer that.

In all fairness, it may be a big mistake if they do the codex interview now, because it would only lead to another shitstorm, which could damage the relationship in the long run. So I do respect if they decided to talk with the codex only when they have everything ready. Right now having no relationship at all is much better than a poisoned one. They could still discuss with us later on when the game takes more shape, and hopefully, makes a big impression.

From previous experience I would say there is usually a good reason if a developer does not answer requests for an interview, or first agrees and then dawdles with answering the questions.

We can just hope it's not because he just wants our money, and doesn't want to answer the interview because the game will be iPhone popamole shit...

He dosn't look like that at all, but then I don't now him, so make you own judgement.

As I said, I wouldn't concentrate on the interview or no interview right now.

I pledged already, it's done, and I don't think I'll change my mind in the last moment. I hope for the best! If he fucks up I lost some money, and he won't get it ever anymore. But there is great potential to this game, something we miss in today's market (well I at least).

One thing I do wonder though, how much approximately did it cost to develop Shadowrun Genesis, or SNES, so that I can predict what to expect with almost 2 million. I guess it cost around half a million dollars, as he wanted 400000$ for the kickstarter, and I'm guessing he aimed for something in that vein.

Ugh. They wanted 400K, will get something like 4-5 times that. so it should be more than enough.
