I wanted some changes to the economy for a new playthrough, but the mods I found had details that I did not want. So I decided to make the changes myself with a new mod.
It makes pretty much everything (except animals and research artifacts) expensive while making your selling prices lower (or about the same as vanilla in some cases). Also nerfed hashish because hash = easy money lol.

Up to 165h and I'm still into this on my first character. Time to train up, destroy the UC through force (the HN I did with stealth), and then see what's going on in the SE corner of the map. I have some ideas for subsequent playthroughs as well, maybe a small group of nomadic skeleton violent criminals/slavers, in league with the UC.

I think the biggest drawback to my first playthrough has been alienating both the HN and the UC before even speaking to them. Definitely keen to try a different approach next time.

Recently started a new skeleton only playthrough. I was weak during my previous attempt and started taking in Hivers, Beep being the gateway Hiver. Did a solo start this time because the "Nobodies" start makes the early game too easy. Also playing unmodded except for Living World.

Things were going well. But then the world seed seemed a little bit stingier with Skeleton recruits than I was expecting. More frustrating was seeing Skeleton drifters in UC bars with low enough stats to be recruitable but no option to speak. So I decided to see if I could do the knockout/slavery/buy method without going to war with UC way earlier than I wanted...

And what I learned is that as long as someone's faction tag says "Drifters", the UC does not give a shit if you knock them out and kidnap them. Their only reaction is to try to pick up the knocked out Drifter to enslave it for themselves. But no hostility towards the player. I've done it twice in UC bars with no problems. Recruited a P4 unit for the first time this way
Just a slightly inferior Skeleton unless you're going to craft with it
.

Tried the same thing on Skeleton Patron in the bar in Black Desert and that went differently because he is tagged to the "Skeletons" faction. The bartender chased me down and I had to fight him. I repaired the bartender after putting him down. He made it back home and there was no permanent faction reputation damage.

Yeah, I'm cheesing the game a bit. But such guilt is a small price to pay next to bringing the light of the Omnissiah to the world of Kenshi.

What is the meaning of this and how will this affect kenshi 2?

Without more context it doesn't really mean anything. He could still be working on the game, but just not have the legal title of Director. The cash accounts are more interesting... they have a pile of about £8m that hasn't changed much year-on-year.

Being a UK company director brings with it a load of administrative crap. Strong wager that these are moves to reduce that side of things so he can focus on the creative aspect.

He can focus full time to fixing the pathfinding. No point to Naruto-run if you cannot find the optimal route. I BELIEVE IN CHRIS.

Hey, what's your advise about mods?
QoL or impovement one?
my current are:
Compressed textures project
FASTR (the one removing excessive stones and such)
Good Map RUS (also thinking about topo map with no indications from Nice Map)
Basic Ui
Limb icon fix
Building collusion fix
Guarenteed shops
fix for flies to mute them
Calm ambient sounds
Crab Tournament Fix
Flotsam ninja dialogue fix
More Names
Sensible Martial Arts
Interior Design
Sneaking is sus
Sensible nomadism
SCAR's pathfinding fix
SCAR's better AI for NPC
Sensible nutrition
Pocket change 3.0
CTD fix

Also, what do you think about Shidan's Tweaks Fixes and Unofficial Patches Kenshi?
They fix, but also "tweak" - change things.

These are the only two mods I used:

SCARs pathfinding fix v16
Slopeless v4

And that's it. I only wanted QOL type things rather than anything that materially changed the content.

Maybe for future playthroughs I'd find a mod that patches out the 'exploit' where you rob the robot shop in Mongrel for infinite cash.

Me too initially, but I already played it 4 years ago. And remember what a mess it is, balancing-wise.
Like, Sensible nutrition make an attempt to balance food, cause in vanilla you simply ignore half of the food cause it being bad.
And makes food CUBE an ACTUAL cube ffs.
I tried not to install mods that change many things.
Only one I'm hesitant about is Sneaking is sus.
Cause sneaking initially is a very good defence, but with it it's hard to train it.

Don't know about it, so I don't need patch it out huh. )
Also, stumbled upon mod that disables AoE damage for every weapon except heavy, and sabres, polearms and hakers could hit 2 targets at max.
But I'm going to be solo, so, probably not worth it, even if I going for heavy wpn too.

You can steal from all the robotic workshops (except the black desert city one) because the skeleton shopkeeper is from the skeletons faction, and the cities/waystations that have them do not give a fuck about you stealing from them. Im sure you can fix that by changing their faction to match the city.

Yep I'm aware, I think it completely breaks the economy. I say Mongrel because it was the easiest early game access I had to the exploit, but of course it depends on where you start.

You can clean out the robot shops, containers as well, as long as you put the owner to sleep. There's only ever one member of staff in the shop, making it trivial to rob them every few days for huge sums of cash.

Put to sleep? You mean KO?

Also, my other question - does height and overall size of character matter?
I think it affect hitbox rigth?
If you small, you got hit less?
Does being tall make you reach for target better?

Yes I mean KO. No idea on height/hitbox though.

What about ADVANCED settings?
Like hunger rate etc?

Everything at 1 by default - logically.
Any recomendations to change something?

i like to play with chance of death bumped to 3 or 4 because it makes bleeding and limb loss an actual threat
