I was coming in this thread to post this.

Tom Chick is a good writer and a much, much better model than the typical game journo doofus, but he tends to be self-important like that. I imagine on QT3 everyone is circle jerking him as usual. The QT3 crowd on its own is probably enough to fund this.

I think that they will be funded, a bit ambitious, but this is the first proper FPS project, just to exaggerate I would say that even a million is not out of reach.
