vtm: redemption is well-liked by some here, though i'm not one of them.
and never mind that the proper way to write bloodlines and redemption is as second subtitles since the masquerade is already the subtitle for vampire, so those two have not one but two retarded subtitles each.

The real problem with the name of this game is the 'Reckoning' subtitle which is about as generic and nondescript as 'Redemption' or 'Returns' or 'Rising' or 'Reloaded' or 'Retribution' etc etc.

Has any game or film that had that kind of title been genuinely good?

That's, um, I mean, hm.

...
...
...

Would you count Monkey Island 2: Lechuck's Revenge or is that too specific? What about Planescape: Torment? I guess not since that was on roll-a-die's list... Aha! Zork: Nemesis.

Edit: Dammit, apparently it's Zork Nemesis: The Forbidden Lands.

Police Quest II: The Vengeance? I don't remember enough about the PQ series to vouch for its goodness, though.

...

I've got it! Penumbra: Overture and Penumbra: Requiem. I think they're overrated, but they're still pretty decent games. Myst III: Exile and Myst IV: Revelation might qualify, too, although those subtitles are more relevant to the games than the Penumbras'.

Quest for Glory: So You Want To Be a Hero, Trial by Fire, Wages of War, Shadows of Darkness.

It's perfectly acceptable when within a series.

This game will be shit.

#1. EA: if they can force BW to suck their cock, who is Ken Rolston to say no?

#2. Salvatore: like I've said re:Dragonlance, hack authors creating a game milieu is a huge contributor to the decline of RPGs, pixelized and otherwise.

#3. 38 Studios founder Curt Schilling said that the style of the game would be a marriage between God of War and Oblivion. http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/07/kingd ... g-preview/

#4. QTE's as a part of combat.

If true, my (small to begin with) interest has wilted like Jaesun's dick at the sight of Roseanne.
