 Oh, this looks promising.

“But what if we could change this thing, dear friend? What if we could free ourselves from the bonds of Time and Transcience? What then, might we accomplish? How high might our aspirations reach?”
-Collected Writings of Fomorous Hugues, Philosopher/Scholar

“I will not accept this life of unspoken servitude, the path of a feather borne on the winds of Fate. These bonds have been thrust upon me, and I will rage against them with every breath I draw.”
-On the Bonds of Mortality, a Research Journal, Author Unknown

""

-The Lost Writings of Aristotle (translation by Timorous Fugues, philosopher/historian)

Well it is just ridiculous. How could they have gathered funds for something like this? Judging from the trailer it will be the biggest cliché of all.

I think you answered your own question there.

I'd rage over all the resources they throw at shit like this but I can't be bothered anymore. I just cry instead :(

I kinda like some of the art, actually. The armor reminds me of some 90s CGI stuff and the monster style at least looks different from generic fantasy/D&D art.

No excuse for the generic acrobatic fighting and the giant weapons though.
Some of the art looks interesting and they seem to be on the right track with the music. But yeah, the trailer... Ye gods. I'm not sure what was worse: the wrist-mounted lightsabers, the Quickening, or the end demon that looks like Malebolgia's lost cousin (Todd didn't seem to stray too far from his source material there).

The giant pepper shaker on a stick was just embarrassing. Unless it was hollow and made of super-resilient tin foil, then maybe...

Has it ever occurred to you fags that it might be a lighthearted game a la Fable?

Thanks Captain, we already know it's a fucking slimy crap. Please ravage your anus with sharp pieces of broken dvds of "lighthearted games".

I love how the left hand of that red ogre-thing is obscured by a fur cape or something: the artist either botched it and decided to cover it up or just got lazy. Either way, shitty work.

Kinda looks like Tochlight.

Worse art direction, though, and for some reason it just all looks more... low-budget.

Heh, even if you're not a story-fag, writing quality is important. The overwhelming majority of interaction and information in RPGs are transferred via written (typed) text and so, even if all you're doing is reading the description to how an item works or the instructions of a puzzle/riddle, good writing is still a necessary component.

Not to mention that if you spend much of your time in any game reading stuff that the quality of what you're reading should, hopefully, be of a level that is enjoyable to some capacity. It is like picking a pain color for your room or office, ultimately it doesn't matter, but you're better off with something you enjoy.

I lol'd so hard watching this trailer, almost pissed myself.
Stabbing skeletons, bigass spiked hammers, generic 30 something white tough guy. This going to be _so_ good!

Seriously. It is the funniest thing I have seen for weeks. Or maybe since the DA promo material. Please keep 'em coming.

I really like the look on that monster's face. Captures the mood and feel of the Codex the way most images don't dare can only dream of.
the monster face should be a codex emoticon. or at least an avatar.

It really doesn't seem to be taking itself seriously (love the warhammer). No way to tell if will be any good at this point, but at least it's better than DA with its juvenile grimdark.

It is all shit.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. with the complete mod 2009 was pretty fucking good, and there were little to no titty cards.
