<A href="http://rpgvault.ign.com/">RPG Vault</a> has put up the <a href="http://rpgvault.ign.com/articles/379/379519p1.html">chat logs</a> of last night's IRC chat with <a href="http://www.bioware.com">Bioware</a> about <A href="http://www.lucasarts.com/products/swkotor/">Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic</a>. Here's something insanely funny:

Like a button just swings your saber and takes damage but then to do feats, force powers, etc, we would turn to the menu or whatever. or will it be as noticable as NWN that we dont really have control of the player. He swings and fights by himself, etc

JamesOhlen:</b> Ahhh...<u>It will be a noticeable turn based system similar to NWN</u>. Button mashing won't make your character swing faster. Each character operates on his own personal combat round. This is how combat worked in the BG series and in NWN. I must add that combat looks much more involved that anything we have done before. There is parrying, flips and blaster bolt deflection. Combat really does look similar to the duels in the movies.</blockquote>

Hey, I got ripped off! My copy of <a href="http://nwn.bioware.com">NWN</a> wasn't turn based. I got the copy with the crappy real time with pause combat.
