UPDATE 3:The Massacre
The cloning vat proved itself this day, because except for a few recruits, most of the new guys are clones i guess the body count is scaring people from joining us
Then there is this aquanaut, whose name is too normal for this squad (someone claim him/her)
After this last mission, most of our weapons were lost, and i had to equip my guys with gas cannons and even more grenades.
Research of the sonic pistol is not doing very good.
I will have to hire more scientists to complete quick, because a terror mission will eventually come, and that will be bad with harpoon guns.
Shortly after, an USO appears, and we down it.

We await for day to come, as a night operation would be deadly, to say the least
When day finally comes, the triton gets to the crash site.
This will be good.
Azira is ready to take a step outside...
And he finds the vessel of an old ship near the triton.
Manatee finds an alien ship?What is this?
Overboard,Storyfag and Hoverdog go outside to see it.
They spread out a bit, because an alien grenade would kill them all.
Storyfag finally spots the alien ship, which seems to be in a bad shape.
Overboard, wanting to show that his promotion wasnt just because he had friends in power, decides to go in first.
But manatee has a better idea, as he throws a grenade inside of it, while hoverdog and storyfag guard the front entrance.
The grenade kills nothing.Hoverdog is ready to get inside the sub.
An alien grenade from the outside kills Imperator and Manatee. R.I.P Imperator, not even your promotion could save you and Manatee, your grenade alerted the horde
The alien throws a grenade at Azira,but he survives as the blast doesnt get him.Its time for revenge.He misses his shot.
Storyfag finds a sonic cannon at his feet,we MUST win this mission.
Storyfag actually hits the alien once with his dart pistol,but it doesnt die.
The alien throws yet ANOTHER grenade and oblitirates Azira. R.I.P Azira, you werent as lucky the second time
Also Storyfag goes berserk.
Hoverdog manages to shoot the alien once,but it still doesnt die, those harpoon guns are so good.
Another grenade from the same alien kills Hoverdog and Storyfag panicks. R.I.P Hoverdog, that alien has over 9000 health.
Storyfag, when he manages to get a hold of himself turns around, and kills the alien with a snapshot of his pistol.But there are more aliens, and the alien sub was empty.Imperator gets out of the sub to help him.
Imperator comes to help him, and he switches weapons with Azira, as he doesnt need that gas cannon anymore.Storyfag also switches weapons.
Alas, Storyfag is shot by hot alien plasma. R.I.P Storyfag,you were so close to promotion
Imperator dies to alien reaction fire. R.I.P Imperator MKIII, at least you werent zombified by Cthulhu.
I decide to go all in, as i need that sonic cannon and the alien grenades,and lightbane gets out.
He dies to the filthy alien scum. R.I.P Lightbane, you didnt have any time to shine

You don't spam enough grenades. Buy so you have at least 5 for every aquanaut and have fun. :D

Also, maybe buy more aquanauts? The Triton can hold 14, and you're using only 8. A HWP would be a waste of money, I think.

Did any ironman of any game of kodex end with win? Or point of them is exactly to name your characters after kodexers and then make them die horribly one by one?
UPDATE 4:Can we turn the tables on the alien threat?
The aliens are probably thinking that after so many failures,the X-COM project has failed and will be stopped.

Alien reaction fire kills Gondolin MKII. R.I.P Gondolin, you passed away too fast
Alkaviades, a guy who hasnt been named yet, spots an aquatoid, probably Gondolin's killer, but he misses every shot.
Imperator on the other hand doesnt. Could this operation be a sucess after all?
Yes it is!Only one aquatoid was still alive on the ship.
Back at the base,everyone seems surpised that an almost full team of aquanauts is back.
"What do you mean only one guy died?And the operation was succesful?How is that possible"
Imperator gets his much deserved promotion for the excellent work he did.
The sonic pistol has been researched,a HUGE upgrade over our current weapons.Once research on its ammo is finished,we will be able to use it.
We spot an USO,but soon after that we lose track of it.
Another one is spotted, but we lose it too, what is going on?
We spot yet another USO and this one is supposedly "small"

Next time on X-COM TFTD:We will touch down near that thing AND DESTROY IT FOR HUMANITY

Sad to see that I didn't get to take advantage of my shit accuracy and 10 bravery to shoot someone in the back. Alas.
We could definitely use more high explosives. I'd recommend arming everyone with Gas Cannons. Give our highest accuracy soldier a Torpedo launcher and put them in back as a sniper where they won't die. Kneeling Aimed shots with rockets are accurate enough for even the noobies to hit most of the time.
