Some nice barrels near the stairs for me to stash. Thieving gobs don't take stuff in containers.
It's a very dark place, save for some poor crystal lights.
What other creatures are here besides goblins?
After clearing the immediate area I decide to read my unIDed scrolls, a scroll of detect magic will show me all magic on this level.
Arg, I read a scroll of pain which summons a phantom blade.
None of the scrolls aid me in identifying the magical items I've picked up, except for a scroll of enchant which I used on a magical bow, turns out to be a cursed bow which the enchant scroll uncursed.
I still have an enchant scroll left, this lets me risk wearing items which may be cursed.
In the dark I encountered another troll.
I placed a flask of sprite on the ground for light in the coming fight.
Wretched troll not only picked up my thrown weapons he also picked up the flask of sprite.
I killed him using bow and arrows.
What's that sniffing noise?
Incoming! 2 more trolls!
Some desperate close range archery!
Remember that time Legolas killed a troll at close range in the mines of Moria?
Victory!
3 trolls in a row!
Tried using a magical long sword I have, turns out to be uncursed.
Fighting this goblin activates the sword's magical ability and tell me what it is. I don't have to kill 20 enemies with it, phew!
A mediocre weapon.
Compared to my axe!
Found the way down, I can smell mithril!
With the sword identified, I risk wearing a magical ring, it is not cursed as well.
Still lots of gobs on this level.
I found a pile of equipment, must have been thrown down by me when I was in the upper levels.
Spotted The Goblin King is in a room nearby, he didn't notice me.
Wish he sings.
In another room I find 2 signs.
I bet this is referring to the special flask of sprite I'm holding, but I still need the light so I'm holding onto it for the moment.
A forge is in The Underdark, time to enchant my equipment.
Enchanting a battle axe with an earth sigil.
Gives me a better axe!
I drank my unIDed potions, turns out most of them are good.
Buffed by the potions as you can see on the left, I decided to kill The Goblin King!
The battle axe stuns him!
2 more swings and he is dead before he can recover.
These potions are very nice!
Drops: a crown, a key, a magical long sword that glows with fire and another owl statue.
The ring I've been wearing was identified after some time and turns out to be a +1 Archery ring.
I went back up to The Maze and open the owl key door.
More loot, a potion of Life heals me fully and increases my maximum health.
I went further up back to the Great Hall and collect some flammable gas with my empty flasks.
I should have done this earlier and made the trolls fight easier.
Map of The Underdark.
I have 4 rations, 1 life potion and 7 healing potions.
