Who knows though, niche game translators are stronger than ever, and open world games are all the rage, so I'd imagine it has better odds than the Metal Max 2 remake/Metal Max 3, but only slightly.

For those not familiar with Metal Max, check out the fan translation of Metal Max: Reloaded, which manages to pull off an open world sidequest filled RPG on the Super Famicom (and then remember it's actually a remake of a Famicom game!)

There are few things in life that infuriate me:

Slow Internet connections.
Women drivers in New Hampshire.
The sheer stubbornness of my fiancee.
Japanese games that never make it to the U.S.

I am too. That's why I started watching a series of instructional videos produced by the Japanese government in the 1980s.

My biggest problem is that they are rips of VHS recordings, so the audio quality is less than ideal. Prehaps when I get to the second season from 1995 the quality will be better.

Never particularly cared for Metal Max. Sure, building and tweaking your tank can be fun for awhile but as sandbox/open-world games, they felt like wasted potential, with their worlds feeling rather... empty.

They? Only one, the first which was a remake of an NES game with minimal new content, was translated.

You referring to spiritual successor Metal Saga?

I was referring to Metal Max Returns, translated by AGTP, and Metal Saga.
