Herve is kind of like Arnie in the original terminator - no matter how badly damaged he is he just keeps coming back...

Could a FOOLish announcement be far off?

Maybe he pulled enough money from somewhere to finance Ballerium, but instead of giving the money to the devs, he gave it to himself ? :?

I think the best part is that the site was done in MS Word.

Nothing like two pages of html code to display a single image.

Its back up again, now with links to information. It also states how much it cost Bethesda to buy Fallout 3 - from page 20 of the last quarterly report :

  • Interplay licensed to Bethesda Softworks LLC, "Bethesda" the rights to develop FALLOUT 3 on all platforms for $1.175 million minimum garanteed advance against royalties. Bethesda also has an option to develop two sequels FALLOUT 4, and FALLOUT 5 for $1.0 million minimum guaranteed advance against royalties per sequel. Interplay retained the rights to develop a massively multiplayer online game using the Fallout Trademark.

Sounds like a waste of money to me.

Good lord thas a lot of money.

I guessing that there's seemingly unnecessary HTML because they used Microsoft Publisher or something.

From what I remember from my satrical clannie website creation days, Publisher tended to put everything in an image, chop it up and allow links. it turned the code into an absolute hellish mess.

With the IPLY site, you can almost see what the code is trying to do. Almost. If it was MS Publisher generated, you'd have no chance.

Hmm, maybe they hired a web person and since there isn't much of a website, and they were just doing their best to earn that paycheck.

If it is a program that generated that code, I'd like to know what it is!

If they were getting paid per line of code, that would explain that mess, but it could just be due to the use of Word or somesuch.
