That's a lot of words to say very little.

I don't even understand the point about Ultima VII. Who felt like they needed to advance the plot before they could just wander aimlessly?

I still don't see where Armagan said mount&blade would focus on story. He said the game would have a story, that's not quite the same.

Obviously at some point he decided that the five kingdoms in conflict was as good a background for the game as a story would be, so he dropped the story.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I'm playing M&B 1.003 and I'm having a blast. Sure, sometimes I'm wondering just what the hell I should do now, but doing quests for nobles, building my little town up and just kicking some enemy ass is fun enough right now. If I want something more, I'll check out one of the many mods.

I'd like to read the proper text of the review before I'd pass judgement.

That article feels like freeware.

I sure as hell wouldn't pay for it. Why don't hack writers like that starve in the streets like they deserve.

I am not expecting a quality read, but it's only fair to read a little before raging.

He's looking at it from a different viewpoint than I and most others here would, but I can understand his sentiments. The game doesn't really deserve a high score.

But one could at least take the time to come up with actual reasons why the game doesn't deserve a high score, unlike that god awful review.

Indeed. I also prefer to see it justified in text. It's just as bad as an overall negative review of a AAA title that ends in a 90+% score.
