Are the DLC weapons in Mass Effect 2 and 3 unlocked from the start, or do you pick them up during the course of the game? Oh, and did they fix the bug with Ashley's ability in ME3 shorting out her AI and rending her useless for the rest of the game?
You buy them from stores now.

Weren't the DLC weapons in 3 purchased throughout the game anyway? I remember a lot of the guns being dumped into stores in a way that screamed DLC shop to me. A few might have started in your inventory though.

No, it's the other way around. AFAIK the remaster has all the DLC included, it's just that for the original versions you have to download them manually.

The remaster has all the DLC, except for Pinnacle Station because they lost the source code. Pinnacle Station is just a shitty arena where you fight hordes of enemies, so I'm personally glad that it's not included as if it were I'd be compelled to replay it.

Did the same and can only agree that ME has extremely poor gameplay. Jesus Christ, was it ever a chore to get through!

Very nice art, music and to a lesser extent writing though.

I'm realizing this right now. All those Mako levels have not aged well at all, and the combat is utter shit. It was never good, but it's really not good 14 years later. And there are quite a few bugs. I'm constantly getting stuck on terrain and in doors, quests randomly don't work (I had to relpay sections of Feros 4 fucking times, including the boss fight, because shit wasn't triggering properly. I never, ever, want to play Feros again as long as I live).

The game works despite this, and is still compelling despite its flaws, but I really want to be done with it and move on to ME2 and ME3. I'm odd in that I've always thought ME1 was the weakest in the series, in most respects, and replaying it hasn't changed my mind.

Yeah, Feros is trash. Good thing you can get it out of the way early in the game.

I'm about to start ME2 and I'm wondering which difficulty level I should choose. Playing ME1 on hardcore felt like it was a mistake, it wasn't difficult, just annoying with the instant kills and massive health pools.

What is the game designed for? Should I play on veteran? I don't want to shoot things 3 times in the head with the sniper rifle to kill them, after removing their shields...

I think it might've been a mix. Some were store bought while the two big packs of guns were dumped into your inventory right away

Here. Now stop the edgy trolling. I even started a new ManShep character to indulge you. I never touch ManShep normally because I find the voice actor boring (not a patch on Jennifer Hale) and the default appearance dull as fuck.

It's a matter of personal taste. I've got the original game to go back to if I want the original lighting, but I prefer the more balanced lighting of the LE.

Of course, the tryhard edgy posters here won't even play LE, in some ways I've already lost by engaging. But if anybody here is wondering if the lighting is fucked in LE - it isn't. Some scenes are a little lighter, like this one here - but Shepard is stood in front of a big, lit up screen, so it was probably an error in the original that the room was so damn dark.

I think a lot of locations on the Normandy, dark in the original - again, to certain tastes - don't look bad in LE even though it's definitely brighter, and this is thanks to other light sources. See this for example - see the red lighting on Femshep, coming from the floor lights behind her in the central section of the Cargo Bay:

Two images don't do the game justice and I don't know why I'm even bothering.

Edit, one more FemShep (screenshot taken as she was speaking):

Lighting is more sophisticated in LE. You don't get grim darkness over absolutely everything. It's more realistic, and other sources matter too.

Notice the shadows on Ashley's face there.
Dude got so butthurt about shitty EA cashgrab faggot edition that he deleted himself this is how all Biotards will end.

So the creator wants to retain exclusive bragging rights basically saying "I made it first and how dare you replicate my mod and make it better. Fuck Nexus for not giving me power over others."
And it's not like someone can copy paste her work, existing mods are not compatible with LE. Every mod out there needs a remake.

She made Better Dreams, BackOff, ME2/ME3 Recalibrated, ThaneMOD, Urz on the Normandy and Better Cabin Music.

I you read her post, you'd know she wants the right to be the one to convert her mods or grant permission to others to do so. She's angry because Skyrim modders have that right, but not ME modders, for technical reasons.

It's not about bragging rights, it's about owning your work and the effort you put in, and being able to continue that work if you desire to do so without anyone taking it away from you.

Seems reasonable to me.

This is the same modder that has specifically blocked compatibility patches for other mods previously.

They are a prima donna of the highest order.

That might well be true, but it doesn't make their current point invalid.

Ah, yes, a modder who opposes mods. Perfect catch right there.
