In the video he mentions that he saw mention of DA:Inquisition being delayed "this morning" which means it was likely recorded ~July 22nd
Unless he was mis-reading a report on the mobile companion app Dragon Age Keep being delayed which would put it ~July 30th
Also, I guess now we know why Kaz is the only 2D artist left to work on the main game?
Tim Cain doesn't want to be a leader anymore.tim should just leave obsidian, start a new outfight and swallow his pride and beg on kickstarter like everyone else.
Seemed to suggest next kickstarter would be after PoE release, i.e. nothing this year. And then likely to be PoE2. So not doing the inXile 'two projects at once'. Equals less use of kickstarter. And how is Kickstarting a sequel not overusing Kickstarter?
Good plan, stick with that.Obsidian's original plan was to use Kickstarter to literally "kickstart" new intellectual property, which is inherently riskier than doing sequels and benefits more from having a no-strings-attached cash infusion from the crowd.
I hate the hell out of space opera. Obsidian, I politely request you never involve yourself in that garbage more than you already have (fucking Star Wars).
There's space opera and then there's space opera done right.
KotOR 2 was fine, by the way.
Timothy Cain should be granted supreme powers to make Arcanum 2 together with Anderson and Boyarsky.
No faggit balancing from hipster-queen Josh, no meddling from false messiah MCA who just wants to butcher dialogue and down those poor wolves!
Only pure Arcanum goodness with much-needed combat improvements. Game of the year, game of the century, game of the fricking eschaton! Would pledge buckets of neo-shekels!

i never backed a single kickstarter project because they're all suspect but i'll put money toward tim cain IF he starts his own company and retains ownership. im not gonna send my money to fatguts the swindler so tim cain can get permission to make a game and then obsidian takes credit and ownership.
troika was a fucking 10x better outfit that obsidian. tim cain release 4 phenomenal groundbreaking games in a row, no ones ever done that. troika should've lived not fucking obsidian.
I don't believe I've ever seen space opera with aliens done in a way that wasn't a reskinned fantasy setting where entire planets end up with homogenous societies. Understandable considering the huge amount of time and effort it would take to create planets as diverse as Earth, however, it's still an insult to the science part of science fiction. There's space opera and then there's space opera done right.
the best example of both that comes to my mind is star command. plenty of fuckups and total derp on kickstarter from "indies", this doesn't have to be a jab at df or inxile. The only possible video game examples I can think for "overusing" would be Double Fine and InXile. Shots fired by Feargus?
i'd like deadlands but without the magic stuff. normal non-magical steampunk in the very wild west...Feargus wants to make a Deadlands RPG. Please yes please.
because they make everything better.i'd like deadlands but without the magic stuff. normal non-magical steampunk in the very wild west...
why does everything have to have fucking fantasy, spells and undead in it...
I'd rather they do a Vampire The Masquerade game though...
