This reminds me of a story of two drowned fishermen. The autopsy reveals that one of the fishermen had boot marks on his shoulders, meaning that the other fishermen tried to climb over him in order to save himself from drowning.

Now, that's perfectly understandable, given the context of what was happening. Obviously, you can't blame the guy for trying to save himself, even if it meant sealing the fate of the other guy in the process. Also I'm not ganing up on you only but stating my opinion, if 20 other people have a similar view it's their business. Also it should tell you something about you own view. Starting silly polls (I know what was edited and what wasn't) and Volourn type threads doesn't tend to bring favorable responses either.

Saint Sphincter edited my original poll adding an option to flame. I made one poll
to parody this, and a single Volourn thread making light of it.

So St Sphincter edits my poll, gives a bunch of abusive CAPS filled replies about
how"I don't know shit" about a subject I've studied for most of my life. When
someone has been civil I've attempted to reply to them with the same courtesy,
but flamed back when flamed. Since the thread involved an argument with a
mod, it rapidly descended into a free-for-all feeding frenzy.

I noticed that you turned up to have a poke too, flaming for the sake of
flaming. Don't deny it now. As for admitting when I've been wrong, size
10, bold, underlined, red public apologies don't really count as 'reluctant'.

Thanks for the vote of confidence - the upshot of that was that it occasionally
appears in gaming and academic publications as that phrase, though linguists
might not agree with its use. It appears more common to just refer to it as
some variation of 'third person', 'over-the-shoulder', or 'chase-cam' - that
way everyone understands what you mean.
