There's <A href="http://www.homelanfed.com/index.php?id=20306">an interview</A> over at <a href="http://www.homelanfed.com/">HomeLAN Fed</a> covering <a href="http://www.akella.com/pub-metalheart-en.shtml">Metalheart</a>, which is that turn based CRPG that <A href="http://www.akella.com">Akella</A> is making. The one sans character creation. Here's a bit on locations:

I thought Metalheart was Cyberpunk?

HomeLAN - Will there be any multiplayer features in Metalheart?
Alexander Shcherbakov - No. Metalheart is single-player oriented. We just think multyplayer features will fit well for this game.
that sounds weird ....

im looking foward to this game but i really dont like that you cant make your own character, whats the point of a *role* playing game when you dont get to customize your character ?

That's the part that gets me. You just can't make your own character. Without character creation, I lost a huge chunk of my interest in the title.

they could add a third character to the ship (or replace one the two) with your (generated) character and leave the second as support cast (maybe even auto-generate him to complement your abilities)
