I'm finding the exterior areas to be ugly as all get out but the interiors to be passable. But I'm not even sure if I'm in the right forum because this has been all publisher talk.

What's with the whole "falling into the chest" animation? Engulfing chests? I just want static chests.

I like the limited camps thing, at least so far. It makes the trek back to town a modest penalty for burning through supplies rapidly.

The chest focus animation is supposed to be the characters looking down to the chest. Otherwise, they probably wouldn't see the chest because it's too short. Similarly, the party looks up when looking at road signs.
Also, here's the general discussion thread for MMXL.

Can't the codexian tentacles reach out to Ubi staff and convince them to ditch Uplay?

It would sell like hot cakes on GOG.
And probably Steam too probably from the path carved by Legend of Grimrock.

edit:

oh man, that trailer

rpgcodex as the most prestigious magazine of them all :obviously:

By "released" does it mean RELEASED, or must I wait a bit more to get proper ending, final act or whatever? And does it crash a lot?

Really released. Hasn't crashed on me yet, but the load times are pretty long.
