They lack a proper save system...and is very simplitic compared to say MMXL
Call me crazy, but I bet a save system doesn't impact rendering performance.

SRR really isn't comparable in any way with M&MX, in terms of the complexity of what they are doing. SRR has small 2D areas without persistence, while M&MX has a single large streaming 3D overworld, which is also entirely dynamically shadowed. They are almost at opposite ends of the spectrum.

but... but I have genuine Windows 7 64 bit and military grade components in my videocard!

I have installed and played tons of games (some of them graphic intensive) on this rig and none of them keeps my GPU at 100% and here comes Might Magic X and this occurs.
You are trying to educate?
