M&B's combat is fun as hell, but only an idiot would call it "RPG". It's an action game with stats.

Of course, I've decided that most of mainstream gaming is now made up of and run by idiots, so go figure.

Yeah really, M&B is f'ing awesome. But I sure as hell wouldn't say that it is an RPG. The commonly used phrase "Pirates! on horseback" is pretty accurate, although in many ways it is even better than Pirates!

I still feel the game needed a lot more polish and work to justify a retail release.

Only had a chance to play with it for a few minutes. Two opcode errors, getting captured and escaping. A lot of the helmets aren't displaying a graphic when you're moving them between inventories. Nothing gamebreaking but they're pretty obvious too. If they missed these it makes me wonder what else I'll find when I get a chance to play some more.

That's one of the issues I have. Too many of these things cropping up, never mind the old issues that have been seemingly abandoned.

Maybe Armagan doesn't have your same video card + drivers + mobo + Windows patches? If game content (i.e. dead-end dialogs) isn't caught, thats the dev's fault. Obscure video configuration problems isn't necessarily something to critisize.

Anyway, the game is not an RPG, that much is obvious. Taleworlds doesn't call it an RPG, they call it a sandbox action game with RPG elements. Does anyone really trust game reviewers' opinions of what is an RPG, anyway? In this case, shoot the messenger.
