It's not a matter of difficulty. Mount&Blade's combat is the way I'd like it to be.

I'm enjoying the demo immensely. Being able to quit without saving would be nice, though.

You don't expect me to give up my secret now do you? If I give the game away, you'll stop it in the next version. :P

Well, OK then. It actually involved me editing the files, so it's not an exploit or balance problem. The same thing can be done for other things like exp, I'm sure. I could do it with tournaments or trading if I had the patience, but this way was easier. As I said, it's a cheat.

Well, I at least managed to solo 18 forest bandits. A hard fight, thankfully I found out that fighting the riders is easier on foot.
I do however still resent the random swings somewhat. The stabs wouldn't be so bad, but a swing to the left side when the enemy is to my right is just aggravating!

PS: And also, I want to be able to quit at any time I please.

Is it that program that can change any number in a program so that you can get gold or exp points??

Naah, I just did it myself.

Edit: In other news; I managed to wipe out a war party of 60, it was deliciously brutal.

I see version 0.601 is now up on the M&B site. I'll download it and see if I can spot any changes.

This game seems to take all my time lately. A thought about the tournament. I kinda like the fact that you have to fight with the different weapons but how about a giving a couple of choices of teams each time. You still wouldn't have to say which weapon you are going to get. That way earning money might be slightly easier. The thought came to me while trying to earn enough money for another horse after I got my all my men killed and horse slaughtered. The other thing that keeps coming up in the tournament is starting facing the wrong direction and by the time you get the horse turned and heading into battle the other team has already triple teamed your eager partner and turned the battle in there favor. Also when you take out a horse the opponent with the lance almost seems to do better, would thing the weight would make it have a penalty on the ground.

I'd like more variety with the weapons in the tournaments. Maybe larger numbers too. 5 V 5?

I suck at the computer. So when I try to start playing it says I have a monitor program running. What kind of program is this? Does it mean I have too much porn or something? :?

Sounds like it's referring to an anti-virus/spyware program scanning in the background.

JC Anejo:
Starting the tournament facing the wrong direction will be fixed in the next version. Also, I'll make the lance slower.

Fez:
My initial plan was making several tournaments in different towns, each one having slightly different setups. Hopefully, I'll get to it sometime.

Sarkile:
That's the copy protection thingy. You may have a program running in the background that is monitoring the memory. You can try disabling the programs running in the background.

Does either spybot or adaware remain on in the background?

I see you're planning to have a race track, and monsters/zombies in the game too. The race track would be a nice non-combat distraction.

Is there a way to see what's currently in the background in Windows 98? I've turned off everything I could and it still isn't working for me.

First bug I've had. Had to make some money for a new horse and competed in the tournament for a while. My horse got stuck in the wall twice and even when I jumped off I was still stuck. Both times it was on a turn so the horses ass got stuck.

Please don't put in any scary monsters like DeathClaws, if you do I probably won't buy the game.

It looks more like normal guys with a zombie skin. Undead armies, that sort of thing. Could be good, like a third person version of Dark Omen.

This game is the most fun I've had in a long time. As The Underdogs would say - two thumbs up Armigan. You got my $10 last night.

Thanks! I am quite happy these days myself. People are enjoying the game and they are going ahead and buying it too! If only we can create more content now...

The zombie skins are from a previous attempt for a storyline. Since then, we decided to keep the game's atmosphere realistic, therefore they'll not appear in the official storyline.

So no magic either than?
I've wasted the past 2 days playing this getting about 12 characters to Level 6.
I really need to buy it...

Ok, am i not supposed to be able to read the text in the game? Everything except for the menu items, looks like gibberish to me. Do i have to download a new font or something?

You don't need to download any fonts. It may be a problem related to graphics driver. You may need to download and install the latest driver for your video card.
