FINALLY, I've been wanting them to get out Mysteries of Westgate for a while now. Glad to know the madness is nearly over.

Ossian, from what I've experienced, seems a capable bunch. I'm eager to see what they've got. AT LONG GODDAMN LAST.

...and there was a lot of conversation regarding the subtitle of SoZ. I wanted "Secrets of the Hidden Kingdom" for a while, but man... now that I think about it, there WERE a lot of "[thing] OF THE [other thing]." It just seems to work best that way as far as naming NWN2 expansions. No idea why.

Of course, Travis Stout and I also suggested "NWN2: Holy Shit You Guys, DINOSAURS" and (in honor of the yuan-ti) "NWN2: Snake Titties." Sadly, not approved.

yes plz

I hope it doesn't require SoZ - I'm not buying that expansion.
Weren't you making rants about how you were disappointed by SoZ?

And now you reveal you have not played it?

piracy lol

Actually, it starts a bit slow and gets better later on. The endgame location is pretty much pure pwn.

I did not mind the slow start as it got me used to the new things, like the Overland Map. Can't understand why people complained about the OM, it's done pretty well and it's easy to navigate around. Actually I did not really feel it started slow, except for the party creation time but it's an aspect I enjoy. The fight on the beach, with emphasis placed and salvaging weapons and supplies, was fun. I guess you refer to the development of the merchant company as the slow phase. Anyway, seeing how much I enjoy it so far, I'll be EXTRA happy if it gets better later.

Well, for me, the whole of Samarach seemed to be a bit slow in comparison to the Sword Coast. Smaller with less stuff in it. In an interview over at the Iron Tower website the developers said that they did it on purpose, in order to ease the player into all the new stuff - after all of 'em fools complained they didn't get the "spirit-eater" mechanic in MotB. Heh, I can understand that, but I don't necessarily like that - I learn things as I go, now matter how deep the water is. If Samarach was as fleshed-out as the Sword Coast, and had as much content, the game would be much, much more replayable to me - as of now, Samarach's a slow beginning for me.

They did a good expansion and an expansion that Volourn didn't like. Chances are this next expansion will be cool.
MoW is developed by Ossian, not Obsidian.

OK. So being made by Ossian is a good thing or what?

SoZ was actually pretty fun once I got over my initial annoyances with it, and some fixes via the community.

Looking forward to MoW, about bloody time someone got their finger out....fuckin publishers

In your nightmare.
I enjoyed Samarach a bit more overall, because I prefer lower levels and the whole jungle thing surrounded by sea is a bit more mysterious and interesting for me (yes, far away from West Harbor!).. though there are some SC areas I absolutely loved.
