But this is just stupid. Can't they find their own style, setting and everything else? This is straight out copy of Myst without a single different element, zero authenticity. Fuck this shit

It's a copy of Riven not Myst, retard. There is a different element, you have an inventory in Neyyah. Also it's not they, it's just one dude who is not even a developer.

In watching a few of these videos this dude seems to me to have the right approach to doing a newer Riven like game. This seems promising at least. IF he can actually pull that off... we shall see. I'm just going to sit in the corner and cautiously fap.

Wishlisted.
Like others, I am kind of skeptical. Who knows if it will be good or just a surface level copy?
What I do know is that it looks gorgeous, and I can't imagine regretting it if I played it. Maybe it won't blow my mind, but maybe it will. Either way, it should be fun for an afternoon.

Features covered:
- "Action Highlights", where you can press spacebar to highlight certain interactable areas within the game world
- "Clearer Text" - enabling you to simply click on certain harder to read / handwritten note or journal texts within the game and changing it to a simple font, so you can read and absorb Neyyah's deeper mysteries and hidden clues much easier.
- "'Optional Traveller's Guide system", which acts as an automated "observations" capture log for the player to review and help piece together Neyyah's world and puzzles.

The "Accessibility" stuff was at first a bit concerning, but it seems like they are more just "notes" for you to remind you of stuff you may have found. You still need to pay attention and piece clues together. OK with that. And also, you can turn that off.

Was unaware this was Publisher funded (which is where all the "Accessibility" stuff is coming from) But still..... interested in this. What he has done so far look pretty damn impressive. :salute:

Clearer text is also a nice touch, how many times you stumble upon notes or journals in adventures, where the writing is so calligraphic to the point you don't understand shit. You know, like a doctor's prescription.

While playing Ripper recently, there were at least 2 such cases. Sure, it might be a bit of an immersion breaker, but it's kinda useful.

Tbh I'm not sure who was the one asking for those accessibility options. Mech Engineer is by the same publisher, and there are no accessibility options or tutorials in that game.
