Getting banned by China I can see. They're probably still pissed about getting busted for the underage gymnasts.

But Japan? Did it not have enough kiddie porn and tentacle rape in it?

I haven't been able to find out any reason for any of the bans.

Game looks great though. Reminds me of System Shock and Deus Ex as far as some of the mechanics are concerned.

Who cares about Dead Space? In the end, I bet it will turn out to be just Resident Evil in space

It looks like Doom in 3rd person.

I probably won't get this because EA will put some stupid DRM on it. Too bad, because I could use another Doom right about now.

The news of the German ban appears to be false. The game got approved in the UK and you know what a bunch of nancy boys they are anymore.

Probably just a marketing stunt by EA.

For those of you who haven't seen any actually gameplay here is a 13 min developer walkthrough.

I liked the item upgrade system from what what shown and I though the zero-gravity room was a nice looking change; the menus and lack of a HUD are a nice little touch as well. The game seem to be filled with little touches and attention to detail... I hope the story is good and some branching paths would be great. It really reminds me of a mix between System Shock 2, Deus Ex and Resident Evil 4; that's not a bad thing in my opinion.

It looked good until I saw the combat. Was one of the monsters shooting rockets?

Looks good, although there's something odd about the combat that I can't put my fingers on. It's not... convincing. I like the coup de grace animations though, and the atmosphere.
