I've enjoyed both completely linear games and completely non-linear games (e.g. Sim City) as well as everything inbetween.

You might want to watch it. Guy in the movie admits that he is not inteligent enough to play Dwarf Fortress.

Everyone is intelligent enough to play Dwarf Fortress. The question is do they rack disciprine and can't keep their attention focused long enough to learn the interface.
