A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Ok, I finished this yesterday. Wasn't great, but better than mediocre. ...so okayish to good?

Was a bit frustrated that choices leading to different endings had to be somewhat early, or weren't obvious at all, as there wasn't much choices in the game in the first place, and the game was otherwise too easy even for a casual puzzle enjoyer like myself.
Won't go back to replaying to see them.

Liked the milieu and the writing for the most part. Was looking for that obscure Amiga game feel, and it was almost there.

Special shout-out to Garrets, boys not unlike codexers: They have a reputation being nazis, enjoy vidya, and some more degenerate dabble with drugs and hentai.

I like old school adventure games, some of my favorites include Goblins 3, Discworld games, Neverhood, Blazing Dragons, Thimbleweed Park, Sanitarium, Primordia, Monkey Island etc.
Is this anything like those games? Does it have actual puzzles and item collecting or is it fucking gay?

i'd say the demo is worth its while for any point-and-click enjoyer, but there's no shame in dropping the game if the demo doesn't grab you. Norco has a very nice overall vibe, but is also very lightweight mechanically, and both sides are presented faithfully in the demo. It's your call if the Gothic Bayou vibes override the limited gameplay.

This is going to sound stupid, but there was way too much pointing and clicking in that demo for me to finish it. I didn't appreciate having to go to each side of the screen every second to pick one of two or three choices in the UI regarding my mysterious backstory. Those could have been numbers!

The (first few?) puzzles were also pointless and felt like an exercise in playtime padding. I don't know. I expect people to put their best foot forward in a demo. I'd been about to just grab the game seeing as it was on offer, too. It's certainly pretty, and the soundtrack is impressive.

It has nice atmosphere, but the plot didn't grab me and I found the gameplay/puzzles rather lacking. I dropped it at some point, midway probably.

Looks fantastic. Pity I’m not into this type of games.
