Now what's wrong with iPod and iTunes you little fuckers?

They're trendy and put a new spin on old concepts. Think about what Halo did with the FPS genre in the eyes of consolers raised on Tekken. We PCers have known about them for years.

Podcast.... pfft! Please. It's an MP3 file on the net.

I liked this part (treanscript by -Mithan-, in VE's forum):

- They decided to eliminate spears and combine the long and short blade skills due to a few factors. It was a major issue of balancing. They wanted to make everything even and work better. Combining blades was decided because it helped you not waste leveing multiple skills to do the same things. The removing spears was because it just didn't make sense to have a little stick to poke someone with if you could throw a massive explosive fireball and destory a massive area.

It seems to me like spears would have been crucial for balance, because they're a very effecive counter for people on foot to use against mounted--oh, right.

You lower the draw distance, and you get 30 frames a second, and you are happy

From TES Forums I read a while ago:
Oblivion is like, going to have unlimited draw distance! OMG!

Why, buy computer with unlimited CPU/GPU power, and you'll have your unlimited draw distance ;).

Yeah exactly, spears make it a lot easier to hit someone while staying out of their effective range, but I guess that eliminates the whole "kinetic" moving back and forth thing that makes Oblivion's combat so special.

Kickass, that means Ancient Europe + Gambling = Vegas + Spears. Getting hold of the drugs and shirts was no problem, but the spears and tape recorder were not easy things to round up at 6:30 on a Friday afternoon in Hollywood. Boy was I glad the quest compass came through for us.

That "little stick" won wars for thousands of years. Oh well.

I am sure they would have used fireballs if they had them readily aviable.
Greek fire? Catapults? Flaming oil?

And by fireballs, I'm guessing you really mean rocket launchers?

Staff/rocket launchers. Would be to medieval war what railguns was to modern.

They should contract Britney Spears' voice, so that they can say that the game features spears.

(Lame joke, I know.)

Ah yes, did anyone notice the new trend, that when you go outside nowadays, you also have unlimited draw distance? ;)
