news flash - thats an empty declaratory statementnot supported by anything at all, or in other words "because i say so".
You will have to explain why resting whenever you want, in any place you want, as many times as you want would not be a casual dumbass feature, since it was obviously added for you casual cretins, despite the promises and original design of the game.
So you can have it easy.
And try something better then "because i say so" in the next answer.
I know you're just trolling but for entertainment value, you do know that both your and my own statements are "because I say so" right?
I mean, you could explain, for your reasoning that you shouldn't be able to rest/camp in dungeons/wild areas as it's too dangerous and whatnot (I'm sure you got plenty of reasons). Meanwhile I could argue that anyone can rest anywhere realistically and since there is no ambush/random encounter system, it fits within the context of the game. This could go on for days really.
The only difference is that my way allows anyone to play this single player cRPG the way they want from ultra casual, to mega hardcore, yours forbids everyone else but you from playing them, be it casual or hardcore, simply because you don't agree on the same hardcore logic or "the way it's meant to be played". Josh already fucked up with this mindset by putting in totally artificial "supplies" with arbitrary limits, don't think we need more of that shit.
Just play the game the way you want, let others do the same. And that's coming from someone who loves hardcore and will play the game on PotD with pretty limiting self rules.
As a final note, you cannot rest "as many times as you want", you need supplies, which are limited in carrying capacity AND availability. And unlike what you stated, if you go from the IE inspiration, it's actually limiting the resting mechanic more than IE games, by using that moronic supplies system.
