The ruin of a man finally rises to his feet some twenty feet away, and starts to shamble towards you. To your surprise the corpse's mouth begins to move making strange, choking noises, as if he were struggling to speak. One of its utterances sounds suspiciously like speech, "Heerrrrrrp *choke* maaaayyyyyy."

"He does look thirsty. Let's see if he's more than he appears."

Rhenmyr checks the corpse's reflection in the mirror.

Rhenmyr holds the mirror up and glances at the walking corpse's reflection. There doesn't appear to be anything illusory or false about the poor bastard. You do however catch something strange out of the corner of your eye, a writhing vine or tentacle like "thing" can be seen trailing behind the ruin of a man . . . actually maybe two writhing "things" twitching and moving sinuously across the floor. You look up from the mirror and they're still there.

The man continues to shamble forward in a very herky-jerky unnatural form of locomtion. He reminds you of a puppet on the end of a string. "Herrrp mayyyy *gag* Mmmmmbziuuuunnnn iddd dessssshhh. Kelllllll muuuuuuhhhh *choke* mpluzzzzzz!"

Everybody roll a d6 for surprise (with Rhenmyr in party only a 1 indicates surprise.

Hey guys I'll post this evening when I get a chance. Still making repairs on my old house, but by Monday I'm completely done. Sorry for the lag.

How far away are is the liqueur stand in the first room?
Rhemyr looks over his shoulder through the door into the dining area and judges the liquor cabinet is about 30 feet away.

As the poor man continues to shamble forward everyone but Ker notices two sinuous vines uncoil themselves from beneath the ruined man's tattered robes and slither across the floor toward the distracted druid.

Roll initiative everyone (except Helly)

Vines' Initiative: [1d6] = 4

Rhenmyr runs back to the liqueur stand and fashions a Molotov Cocktail from the strongest bottle.
"Shut the door if you can!"

He did check the bottles earlier, so it shouldn't take long to find the strongest.

You can run back and grab two bottles in a single round the return and hurl them in the next round and yes you can grab strong spirits without trouble

Cormac and the infested man/plant/thing act simultaneously, everyone else's actions resolve afterward.

The vines surge forward through the open door and lash at the inebriated druid Ker.

Infested man [1d20+3] = 9+3 = 12, [1d20+3] = 11+3 = 14 dmg [1d4] = 2, [1d4] = 2

Ker's altered has him blissfully unaware - staring at the tips of his fingers and waggling them back and forth while the thorny ropy vines surge and lash themselves around his ankle and wrist (inflicting 4 damage).

The man continues to stumble forward mumbling incoherently. As he comes into the fullness of your light you notice that his face is covered in tiny leaves and thick green veins pulse along the surface of his visible skin while his vacant white eyes stare straight ahead at nothing in particular.

Ker screams and fall to the ground shouting in pain.
My max HP is 4, I'm done for bros :-/

Don't be too hasty. 0 Hit Points = unconscious. If you are reduced to negative Hit Points (any amount) you have 1 round per level to be healed or somebody to apply first aid.
