No surprise, valve is blackmailed by most major credit companies to deny anything ever porn related to release on steam.

Incorrect, actually it's just anything anime/loli-related. There's plenty of non-anime porn on Steam, including games about gay dudes lusting after teenaged boys, which gives the lie to Valve's claim about only going after depictions of "children".

It's just the kind that SJWs get angry about. They love their homo shit.

It's probably for the best, really. I hope it all remains 'niche' - admittedly a more and more popular niche, but still small enough to fly below the radar. My biggest fear is that hack journos latch onto something like Rance being on Steam and then declare total war on the genre as a whole - not just getting them banned off steam, but the full shut down of Manga Gamer and any others stores. Let's face it - many of the scenes in these games will sound horrifying when written up by journos. In this day and age all it takes is a few politicians to get on the bandwagon and bans will soon follow. In Britain they are already in the process of adding ID verfication to watching porn. The internet censorship age is upon us - we should probably enjoy the renaissance while it lasts.

I'm not exactly sure what Steam is for then anymore if EGS poaches all the new releases and Valve bans eroge because they keep flip flopping on whether or not they are allowed. What does that leave us with? RPG Maker shovelware?

At this point I think you have to treat Steam as an anarcho-tyranny. Still better than the Epic store though.

Yeah, Sweeney and SirGay deciding what games are acceptable is definitely not better than having Steam as it is.

Wish we'd have some actual competition instead of Zuckerberg 2.0 trying to take over PC gaming while being backed by gamejournos and random retards.

Still baffles me that Rance won't be allowed when fucking Evenicle is still up on Steam which its sexual content is about on par with most Rance stuff. I guess MangaGamer just got lucky with the timing of releasing that particular game. Well whatever, better to just buy off their official site to give them all the shekels for their translation work.

Evenicle had luck and entered Steam before the crazy lunatics in charge of censoring everything showed up.

Do dark lords have level caps? So far i know there was some kind of changes in rance quest but it was once again changed in x as they were still displayed as having caps. Even the newly created dark lords have caps.
And where does the ocean in rance world come from?

Not a big surprise, but TADA has officially retired.

I am done with active development, but since I've obtained the title of advisor, I'll frequently go back to 'play' (not sure what he means by that desu). If the situation improves (willpower, development ideas, health) I may rejoin the team, but, for a time, I'm retired.

In happier news, the Mangagamer Sengoku Rance translation has a June 13th release date.

So tldr, will the officially released english sengoku rance have any actual improvements over the fan-translated jap version (gameplay/feature wise)?

Don't think we know any details, but all arrows point to no.

I mean, probably it won't have lines being cut off by the interface, and the various japanese text in images and such will be translated, but I don't think there will be any bug fixes or balance changes or anything like that. This is something of a shame, but quite probably for the better.

I would like to know how rance quest is going though, since that one doesn't already exist in english.
