Dilandau3000 was already recommended a few pages back, but I'll put one here too.

Mostly adventure (puzzle) games, King's Quest, Gabriel Knight (talkie version), Myst, Space Quest serieses, but some newer games too.

He's got a Roland Sound Canvas SC-88 and a Roland MT-32 for superior MIDI synthesis too. Although you don't really get to enjoy the music since he talks over it...

Edit: While I'm at it, this guy too, but it probably makes no sense to you if you don't speak Japanese. Ys, Langrisser, and other tactical JRPGs. And a few classic h-games too...

He role plays, at first I thought it sucks but I ended up enjoying most of his videos. I first watched his first playthrough of Frost and was a lot of fun, he also does a Rimworld Star Wars game and its kinda fun. His Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead videos are also really good. I always wanted to get into CDDA but felt a little hesitant because of the controls so I am really enjoying watching his series.

I didn't thought I would find a LPer that I like, but I was mistaken. I think Bormac, despite sounding like a lame Mortal Kombat character, does lots, lots and lots of LPs, most of them finished, with the latest series being about Subnautica, in case you don't want to play the SJW-friendly devs that fired one of their own for not being PC enough.

I enjoy a lot of his LPs, he does them in an optimal way and with no commentary and he is extremely good at the games. Currently he is doing a Mass Effect 1 playthrough, he did Doom 2016 which is pretty fun to watch, Dishonored and Mark of the Ninja and new Deus Ex games. Overall I extremely enjoy watching his videos.

If you are into CDDA then this guy is really a good watch, he makes a lot of tutorials and challenges and whatever. He doesn't role play his characters like Rycon does, he mostly just play the game as a game without any other fluffs.

I don't know if the Codex happens to know about this, but it doesn't hurt to try: Does someone know why LPArchive is taking so long to upload new LPs? Is it related to the web LpZone somehow? They haven't add anything since last June, I swear they usually don't take that long. Is there some kind of drama going on that I have mised regarding this?

A guy with good diction called GamerZakh did an excellent playthrough of Caesar 3 on very hard using all sorts of unorthodox block designs such as flower-block, animal-block, letter-block, no-block and other craziness. He also manages to get luxury palaces on super hard maps like Carthago. If you want to see pro level city design in this game you should definitely check it out: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYVqUDxY6COh1bGEO_-gc-cD8FQTrSuxb

That dude seems like he had his bug spirit crushed one too many times. Either that or he is incredibly autistic.

Would somebody point me at Hearts of Iron 4 players who actually understand the interface? Because I'm tired of this:

jURz7pI.jpg

The AI is moving the selected soldier to the front line at Malaga (where he's assigned), but the player wants him on the front line near Murcia (where the cursor is), so the player resolves this by manually clicking the soldier there. Not assigning him there. Clicking him there. Soon after, the AI will move the soldier back to his assigned front line in the west, sure enough... And so the player grumbles some and clicks him back again... Sigh.

- Historical playthroughs preferred, especially if playing a major nation.
- Not terribly interested in Kaiserreich or other mods.
- Waking the Tiger or Man the Guns expansions would be optimal.

(I know about *three* players who know the damned interface...)

I read this guy's Faster than Light playthroughs (he has like a 95 percent win rate on hard) and Sid Meir's Pirates! playthough (he plays for time on Swashbuckler). Very good at video games, not much humor but worth looking at.

I am also going to recommend our dear Morpheus Kitami "shooting game" 's blog.

https://almostafamine.blogspot.com/

The AAR/reviews are a bit shorter than I sometimes would like (I want more lists ! List of weapons ! List of enemies ! With pics) but he covers games you have never heard about. most of them look terrible, but they are interesting by virtue of their existence nonetheless.

Insert Title Here Strap Yourselves In I helped put crap in Monomyth
this comedic one still makes me chortle. it's also a good piece of internet archeology from a previous era when sa wasn't a libshit control freak-infested hellhole

'i guess I have to resonsance a cascade'

this one is another fav of mine that's dedicated to 7.62, a weird but autistically detailed jagged alliance clone that everyone has forgotten about:

SA is breaking down, as usual, but now not even famous LPers or their (in)famous LPs are safe. At one point Tindeck shut down with the pretext of the EU becoming more totalitarian, which means any LP with Tindeck links will be dead, but at least videos and images should be fine. The Dark Id, one of the most famous LPers, at one point deleted his entire Youtube channel, which means ALL OF HIS VIDEOS are gone, even the fabled Drakengard 1 ones. No idea why, although he has a Patreon now so perhaps he put them here.

At least two alternatives were made as a response to LPArchive that I know of. One is LPBeach, made around 2020 from ex-SA users fed up with the drama and the word filters, and the other is LPZone, done earlier. Both are lethargic in comparison to the LPArchive though.
