Recreation of The Dark Crystal

It's... what you'd expect. A pretty dated text parser adventure game. You have to enable java or flash or something.

 

[SCO]

It's just a linear series of simple text input commands + images and music. The possible commands are written on screen on the best bioware tradition.

 

[Jim Cojones]

For added experience, '[TAP OR PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE]' flashing constantly makes reading the text above it rather unpleasant.

A sample adventure:

"Jen is in a beautiful mountain valley; the Mystics have a special name for it, 'The Valley of the Stones.' A Mystic approaches Jen and says, 'Ursu, wisest of our race, is dying; he has sent for you. Come quickly!' Then the Mystic walks away.

What do you want to do? 'Look' or 'Follow'"

> FUCK

"You might get in trouble if you 'fuck' at this moment."

I guess the Mystic really isn't into Jen.

> WANK

"I can't do that right now."

I guess it might be embarrassing for Jen to do that in front of the Mystic who doesn't like you.

> RAPE

"I don't think you should do that."

Well, it didn't allow me to write RAPE TASTEFULLY, so I guess that's understandable.

> QUIT

"I can't 'quit.'."



I don't remember the original being this linear, but it's been a long while since I've played it.
