Hey nobody said it was a fucking masterpiece, but I dare anyone to make an argument that Oblvion is better than Amalur; one is simply dull the other an abomination

Its not really much of a compliment to say its better then Oblivion.

Personally I found it very boring, boring world design, boring enemy and encounter design, boring story and quests. It is better then Oblivion, Fallout 3 and many other games like Dungeon Siege but its still just a boring game.

Sounds intriguing. I think I'll give it a shot.

Thanks for the review.

Oblivion tricked me into thinking it was merely mediocre until after the tutorial was over. Amalur did not.

Amalur was a shit terrible game with an "open-world" requiring linear progression. It is also feature one of the blandest, most non-sensical plots/settings I've ever encountered. Oblivion was an atrocity but at least it provoked a reaction. Amalur just made me fall asleep at the keyboard.

To each his own guys, I rather liked the combat in Amalur, perhaps it is the best fast action based combat this side of Dragons Dogma which I genuinely enjoyed this side of the Souls series
