I dont know about the supposed rivalry between RPGDot and RPG Codex,
There is no rivalry, because these two sites persue absolutely different goals. RPGDot offers news, mostly exclusive, first-hand, again, mostly impartial, while Codex focuses on analysis. I don't expect fast news from Codex, but I do expect a fresh view on the situation and most importantly, interesting and constructive debate on the forum. On RPGDot, I just read the news, ignoring everything else (well, except some hot exclusive material).
