Seems that way. And suprisingly (at least to me), there will obviously be a "battle.net"-feature - ascaron.net. Imagine that.

An I the only one to feel that the zoom levels are messed up? The close and default zooms leave you with only a short view distance while the zoom out is too distant with framerated dropping through the floor. Also, who else thinks the game could really use a minimap like DivDiv or KOTOR? The myopic zoom and no minimap make exploration really annoying.

The state of insanity.
The lack of minimap I can do without. The 'tab' minimap works just fine for me. I do agree with the zoom levels though. I feel there should be a fourth one that is like halfway between the mid and far zoom. Maybe even less than halfway. Ride a horse at full gallop through town on max zoom.

Its on the other side of the river, North of the spot where the goblins have the combo-master's books. Its big. Its annoying. It takes a long time to die. It also has a nasty ranged attack that it uses from time to time that does 150+ damage. It also doesn't give that much xp.

I have been thinking that the Seraphim's Battle Jump would make it possible to get across the river - but I haven't been able to make it work, yet. I don't know if the spider is too far away (it walks around, and haven't been close to the edge of the water) or if the jump won't work for rivers.

As for the death on sight - too bad it doesn't give xp. It's a rare commodity in the demo, after all.
