Too bad, I thought they did something a bit hard with it, for hardcore Gothic explorers.

Do it; it has my stamp of approval. It's a bit short, and a bit actiony; but it makes up for that with a sweet Ultima Underworld feel and great atmosphere. Very much a genre of RPG I'd like to see done again, but never do.

I already did; and I am amazed how much Arx is the kind of game I've always wanted. It's like someone took all the ideas I had for making a First Person RPG and put them together.

Well, maybe not all of them, but quite a few. I love the direct way of interacting with the gameworld.
