Also, I must point out that you're using wrong aspect ratio, Ed.
:M
Wut should I be using for the Wii port?
PS My frame rate is pretty shitty, but playable. 60fps in some rooms with few effects, 30-ish on average, but drops down to the 0-10s when transitioning between camera angles
a) Aspect ratio.

Both GCN and Wii versions of RE1 and RE0 are 4:3 ONLY. RE1 HD Remake is the first one with proper Widescreen.
With proper AR (4:3), RE0 should look like this (vertical black bars due to 1680x1050 - 16:10 external res):

You can enable "Widescreen Hack" in Dolphin, but it stretches 2D backgrounds:

Z27ruzC.jpg

Horizontal black bars, since now it's 16:9 internal with 16:10 external:

:obviously:

b) slowdowns

Try enabling "VBeam Speed Hack" (disc properties), it was the one required in the past to get full speed:

c) Why is GCN version considered better than Wii version?

From:
http://vsrecommendedgames.wikia.com/wiki/Wii

A straight port of the GC game, with no additions (or motion control) except the game now runs in progressive scan, unfortunally the FMV cutscenes have been borked and load times are a bit longer.
I'm not sure if that's true / what's wrong with FMVs, other fags claim that loading times are actually shorter in Wii version.

Thanks spekkio I'll fiddle with it tomorrow to see what I like best

I haven't had any FMV issues (I mean, they're hideous and the black levels are fucked up but I kinda assumed it was supposed to look like that) and the load times seem in sync with the door animations.

Have you tried MH Portable 3rd?

FEAR2 - Reborn DLC.
I swear - if that would be addon for FEAR1 it could be my favorite. Cause Replicas are beasts, kick assess of modern shootahs cannon fodder.

Being corporate drone is not the same like being the soldat clone. At least I got no debs, college suckers...

Couldn't stop my slav instinct.

My roundhouse kick can smash enemies, crush mechs, open doors but can't force this shit to give me a drink. Damn.

Finally I don't need to play this shit.

Have you tried MH Portable 3rd? There's translation, but can't force it to run for some reason.
I don't think vanilla 3rd is compatible yet. You can run Portable 3rd HD instead, strange as it seems. I have it in my queue. Would rather play MH Tri, but it's slow on my outdated system. I would suggest Tri instead of P3rd, unless you prefer an Feudal Japan theme to a Pacific island one and more content. I'll take less content for a better looking game (some people disagree on which game looks better though). It's not like there isn't enough to do in Tri for the average person who doesn't want to spend a year on one game. And you don't have to worry about translation. Underwater fighting is crap though.

I played the GC version and it worked like a charm. Also the game is not bad, played it after RE remake (for GC as well) and had a lot of fun.

Ok, something very strange happened here. Look at the depiction of Ayumi above: Long, shapely legs, flat stomach, slim and toned, big tits. Now compare to the actual model in the screenshots. You'll notice that whilst the 3d model is generally faithful to the artistic vision (albeit with a slightly less youthful-looking face), something went horribly wrong with her milkshakes. They're now much smaller, and unreasonably pointy. What's particularly shocking is that the tritagonist - Michelle - has bigger, shaplier melons than the female lead, which I'm pretty sure is a violation of some critical, unwritten rule of storytelling. One might posit that this is merely a limitation of contemporary technology, yet the modellers had no issues imitating Dragon-Ayumi's magnificent ass:

It's profoundly disheartening to be reminded of the limits of human endeavour :(

Anyway, game wasn't that bad. Surprisingly tough, actually, and there were a great variety of different enemy types. You would get shredded if you just kept mashing buttons and waiting for block/counter/coup de grace cues, so long as there was a single aerial, ranged or heavy foe present. Almost exhilaratingly cool to dash from enemy to enemy in midair. Still, I wouldn't have paid more than 10 dollars for it.

Michelle's Dismal Swamp DLC. Featuring one of the most ludicrously sexualized blocking animations I've ever seen, to which I say: "Gaijin Entertainment, I salute you".

I wonder how it looks without filtering with integer scaling. Having a hard time picking the right aspect ratio for the first game (Genesis Plus GX core crashes, while PicoDrive shows image in the wrong aspect ratio).

I didn't knew that Aledorn stuff now on kickstarter... Tech demo... Is not bad! Okay still rough but could have been worse. I haven't seen ados but there's a nice counterattack feature.

He's name is Bobby. And he's happy

bobby2.jpg

He likes to picture dead bodies

bobby.jpg

And you probably will ask, why is he so happy? Well, Bobby has a secret. It is not the virtue of the soul that makes him happy. He reflect's that everything is inconsistent with a clear affirmation of the souls spiritual and immaterial character. But when he hinted that happiness is to be found in attainment and possession of the eternal and immutable Dark Souls world, and while he understands and accepts what is happening, even if he had been helped to realise the fact by his ancestors, he was thinking not of purely theoretical contemplation with God, but indeed a supernatural union with God as the term of his grace aided endeavour. Bobby finds an ethic in wrecking the chaos, distorting this bridged and eternal area in which he roams. That's what Bob is and that's why he is so happy.
