There's a preview of Sea Dogs 2 over at GamersEurope for those interested in a pirate flavor CRPG. Here's the second paragraph:

It would be unfair to call Sea Dogs 2 Morrowind Lite, but unfortunately that's the best way to describe this game. Unlike Morrowind's near-totally free-flowing gameplay, Sea Dogs 2 follows a reassuringly linear path that pulls few surprises. There are several side quests on offer, but they're nothing compulsory and that, combined with the linear main path, will make this a game far more accessible to the masses than Morrowind ever could be. There are two paths to take - with the man, called Blaze Devlin, or with the woman, called Danielle Greene. While they'll both be taking different storylines they're largely the same and at points in the game they'll meet up with each other, so really there's little difference or importance as to whom you pick.

Ewww.. Linear.

Blaze Devlin? *Shudder*

And that's a surprisingly objective article. Most previews read like they were written by the company's PR department.

You know, all this time I figured Blaze was the girl's name because you see it in nearly every preview and it just sounds.. girlish.

This is a real suprise to me. Perhaps the game that the reviewers got was very incomplete, I was always under the impression that the game would be alot like MW in the sense that there was a main story line and you could choose to do it at your own pace. For that matter I know the girl and guy have different story lines, and I know you can be a pirate or a sea captain, but I was totally under the impression that there would be a lot of side quest and l00t as well.
