Game News Second Variety show off Shelter Trailer

I only have one nitpick and it's regarding the audio of the trailer. You need to remove the feedback from your voice recordings, the "sssss" is very loud and noticable from someone who dabbles in music and recording. Unless you left it like that on purpose, though I wouldn't see why as it sounds awkward how it transitions from feedback to silence once the music kicks in.

You could just use Audacity (which is freeware) and apply the 'Noise Removal' filter. Or Adobe Audition might work better, which of course isn't free though but might give better results.

Yeah I noticed the noise, but I didn't think it would be a big deal on Youtube since it downsamples everything to what appears to be 11khz.

Next time we'll use filters, even though in my experience they have a hard time distinguishing between noise and voice.

I know that mic feedback can be a pain to fix, but if you do try Audacity and the noise removal filter just simply don't overdo it. What you really need to do is while recording, turn down the mic recording volume on the PC and make sure you don't have any DB boosting settings turned on.

Very nice video! :D

I don´t really like the effect on the terrain, though. It seems that they were walking in the clouds.

The interface could be justification for a "look and feel" claim, which of course has precedent.
Fallout 3 UI won't look like ours at all. We borrow the initial layout from Fallout 1, however given Bethesda's apparent wish to discard the classic interface, an action on their side would be unlikely, and it would certainly force us to realign it, but nothing fatal. Look at the kind of bottom-screen UI Age of Decadence is getting away with.

Bethesda now owns the Fallout IP, not just Fallout 3, at least as I understand it. Even though they're not using the old interface they could still sue you for using it. You're right though, at worst they'd make you change it.

That's an effect? Sorry, but I really thought that was a bug/incomplete engine or something.

I too thought that it was non-existent ground tilies, showing the 'background'. It looked really strange (buggy) at the area transitions, where 'real' ground was cut off by clouds.
