So last night I found one of the most hilariously shitty games known to man. I don't even know if this thread belongs here but it is Japanese and it is an RPG even if it's not like any jrpg I've ever heard of. I present to you, dear reader, Seventh Cross Evolution for the Dreamcast.

It's basically an evolution game similar to EVO: Search for Eden, but shittier in every conceivable way. It's a first generation Dreamcast game so the graphics are total ass even for the Dreamcast. There's hardly any music in the game outside of boss fights and the evolution menu. The sound effects are horrible. They sound like shit and the awful walking sounds are what you will be hearing for most of your gameplay.

Everything about this game is pure jank. The combat animations are terrible and cause your character to pause for a moment between each attack, during which enemies can run up and start smacking you. You have a choice between magic or melee and some body parts will give you a special attack such as throwing rocks with human parts. The enemies are endlessly spawning and will often spawn close by but out of your field of view. If you die you are sent back to the start of the game and lose all resources you have gathered as well as any body parts you have equipped.

The goal of the game is basically to kill things and eat them to gather resources such as protean, water, fiber, ect. Protean is what you need to evolve more body parts but it's also consumed to heal you as you are hurt which can make attaining new parts a challenge unless you are grinding on some easy monsters. Body parts are earned by placing colored dots on a 10x10 grid and submitting your drawing to see what parts you get in return which seems mostly randomized. Each area has a boss that you must defeat to move on to the next area.

I should hate this game but for some reason I find myself enjoying my time submerged in shit. Has anyone else ever heard of this game?

I'm very into cock and ball torture
Sounds like hardcore JRPG 0 budget Spore but it was shipped a few months before it was halfway done.
Never heard of EVO: Search for Eden before, that one is going into my emulation folder. Looks really good.

Game looks pretty neat in Redream. Trying to play it without a manual or FAQ might be making it more fun than it normally would be.
