If there are over 100 voice actors, why are there only 2 used for all of the guards?

Personally, I think any sane individual who plays video games would have realized that this made sense, but there are limits to what even AAA titles can do. I read somewhere that there are over 100 voice actors? Not to mention the financial strain of hiring that many people to voice so many NPCs

Financial strain? They don't have toilet paper at Bethesda, they just leave a few $100 bills in the bathroom. ($50 bills for the cleaning lady's bathroom)

The C&C in Skyrim is terrible.

Everyone clearly knows that I am the dragonborn, slayer of Alduin, arch-mage of Winterhold, listener of the dark brotherhood, master conjurer and avatar of a dozen demigods. I have more artifacts laying around my mansion than there are in the rest of Tamriel.

So I went to join the empire in the war, and how do they treat me? Like trash. I have to "prove myself". I have to clear a fort of bandits before they will enlist me. The captain even sneers that either I come back alive and I'm in or I don't and I wouldn't have been any use to them anyway.

What the fuck? The empire should be worshipping at my feet. Not only that, the war should just fucking end immediately when I join a side. There should be a parade in my honor celebrating the fact that I even give a shit about mortal affairs any more.

Fucking bethesda.
So Bethesda didn't learn anything from New Vegas. As usual.

See, you are all doing the same thing as Oblivion.

You are overplaying this game, and then disliking this game a lot after having played it for 30 to 40 hours.

I have barely played the game compared to you all, I play it in relatively short sessions when I do, and I am sticking as far as possible to one fort only. I haven't done the main quest or visited any fort other than Whiterun. And I am only Level 15 after playing ever since the game was released.

...

And I am enjoying the game a lot. I might stop soon (once it ceases to be fun), but you guys behave like a guy who keeps munching on bowls of macaroni, while complaining that he does not enjoy the food. I am reminded of the time when Comic Book Guy said, "Worst movie ever. I will only watch it three times."

All of you would enjoy videogames more if you played them less.

If you did a 10 hour long movie watching marathon, would you still end up saying you enjoy movies? Of course not. You'd be left not enjoying that experience out of excess.

The people strongly complaining about this game are the kind who have reached Level 40+ in this game. Don't you find that contradictory? If they hated it so much, why are they playing it so damn much?

Maybe the key to enjoying any game is to play them in moderation? I played NWN2 OC over a long six month period, and I didn't have a very strong dislike for it. I even thought it was decent. The people who rushed through it in a few weeks or a month, though, did dislike it a lot and complained nonstop.

It is not a matter of "hate", it is rage or disapointment for things what could've been very cool if only done right. That's quite a stable in Bethesda games, that the framework is kinda ok, but the execution is horrible. That's why there are so many mods aswell (apart from the usual hentai/porn mods)

i often encounter dragon while they are being pummeled by bears.

and badly pummeled too, like a rag.

strangely enough ive never seen one do a pick up and drop move, like in that gif.

nor have ive seen any NPC's pick up anything i thrown on the town square either.

what gives Bethesda? was it all lies?

I've seen dragons throw townspeople around before.

I've also seen people loot dead bodies and pick stuff up off the ground. In fact, in the inn in Solitude I dropped the Radiant Raiment shirt that was given to me by that High Elf chick and some guy in the bar walked up and asked if I needed it anymore before taking it. Granted he called it a "chest piece" or a "chest plate" but I still thought that was pretty neat AI.

Do you have any mods installed that might effect AI?

no, no mods at all, not even the nude mod.

but Dragon finish move is confirmed now, it threw a Thalmor over a hill outside Markath.

but i filled Whiterun market square with dungeon loot, like steel knives and shit, no one cared.
could it be that my TPB version is derped?

I guess I mentioned this before, but you will see: the next TES game will be 10 hours long, and you all will finish it when it's still AWESOME!

This would also allow Bethesda to get to an awesome yearly TES game cycle, with 3 quest DLCs and 20 random clutter DLCs spread out in between.

I guess it makes sense. Action - Reaction. All those jets of flame...

Doesnt the sound of the dragon now sound like "What the fuck is going OOOOOOnn?"

Also all the resistances are broken. Patch it while its hot!

I can see it being discussed and drawn up on a whiteboard somewhere in Bethesda offices...."If we can't make the dragon fights more exciting and challenging, we should totally make them fly backwards! Oh, and they should fly backwards forever, so the PC can never catch them!!"

I wonder if this was a bug? When the dragon takes you from Whiterun to that area with the undead, I found a daugr who woudln't attack me. He was standing in front of an empty chest. I went right up to him and we stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity (he actually turned his head and looked at me iirc), but he didn't attack me. My summoned dremora lord didn't didn't attack him either. I left all puzzled. Could this be some sort of subtle statement by Bethesda?

I even took a screenshot -

Can anyone check if this happens in your game too?

Wow, the "How to enjoy Turdrim" guide is getting longer and longer, not only you must not do any smithing, enchanting, illusion and sneaking you also should not play it longer than 15 hours and not do the main quest.

I am actually enjoying it so far, but all those limitation fanboys recommend are just so lulzworthy. :)

You also shouldnt do any guild quests, own a horse or use companions or think youre playing an RPG with any consequences to your actions or freedom of choice apart those very few allowed by the game from time to time.

If you do all that you should be fine.

@baronjohn
Its a bug but a rare one. I just had the same stuff happening with one ordinary skeleton.

Some people need to lighten up. This is nowhere near DA2, so it can't be anywhere near worse than Oblivion in every way. This is mildly diverting hiking and linear dungeon crawling. Besides, if I can remove this from my PC when I'm done without consulting the internet for instructions on how, it is an incline on Oblivion malware.

Gameplay issues aside, this game does have some nice scenery porn.

It loses something when it's not animated and has no ambient sound to aid, but still very nice looks, and a lot of them around. Oblivion was definitely much worse in that regard. Skyrim is nearer to Morrowind in it's offering of interesting landscapes.

Seems there's only consequences for little things. You might get assassins after you after stealing from someone.

After Daedric quests there also are random encounters; e.g. after Peryite I ran into afflicted remnants and afflicted wildlife.

That's already better than any of the previous TES games. In Daggerfall for instance, absolutely nothing changed in the gameworld although according to the last cutscene in the game the Numidium wrecked the entire region aorund the Iliac Bay and rulers were deposed.
But then Daggerfall was pretty shitty anyway.
They emphasized quantity over quality.

Isn't that a bit.. contradictory (safe retarded)?

It kind of makes sense. A few days after it was released there were posts (no only on the codex) saying that after 40 hours of playtime you blah blah blah, making me wonder if these people even sleep / shit / eat. You're bound to get sick of any game if you "powerplay" like that.
