Slow-paced/"casual" browser games to play while "working"?

Yeah, I know casual games are bullshit and whatever, but that's beside the point.

I was wondering if there are any decent slow-paced browser games that one could play slowly and casually through the day, taking small turns every once in a while and playing in short spurts during down time at work, during breaks, etc.

Something RPG-ish would be good, or at least something where you can progress over time. Do any of those browser games where you get "turns" every x minutes exist anymore?

Hell, I dunno what I'm looking for. As long as it's something you can play off and on throughout the day in short spurts and it's not some 5 minute flash game it's cool.

I haven't played such things in a long time but here are a couple that I remember...

Does it have to be browser based? Otherwise I'd suggest something like Puzzle Quest 2 or Knights of Pen and Paper.

How about doing your job you asshole.

Barring that, why not just emulate a game?

Vizzed and Emuparadise let you play their roms on your browser. Since the library is fucking immense, there'll usually be something that suits your needs at the time. Roguelikes are an alternative.
