So, anyone playing League of Legends?

Ha, I was saying literally the same thing to Renegen in the game client yesterday. It's plenty evident and it's also the same reason why CertainlyT is kind of an awful designer. Just throws way to much stuff on his creations (Thresh, Yasuo)

I think he's a p. innovative designer, Thresh's lantern and Yasuo's ult and wind wall are cool concepts mechanically. Especially the lantern. I agree that he gives his champs too much though, both numerically and in their kits. It's no surprise that the three champs he was the main designer on all were broken at release and have seen a steady stream of nerfs. No idea why Yasuo needed a shield in the first place.

I don't deny that he pushes the programmers with some radical ability ideas, but look at everything that goes into the kits of some of the champs they have. Yasuo essentially has 2 passives for crying out loud.

I think the biggest problem with Yasuo is his double crit. He scales so incredibly hard with items, once he gets around 50% crit (which is super early) you simply cannot ever 1v1 him. And his chasing is pretty good too. It's like a Jax that doesn't fall off late game and has an annoying shield.

edit: the Garen is just for EU.

Not a fan of nerfing early game junglers IMO, then all we'll see is Wukongs or Pantheons. The S4 jungle heavily rewards ganking because you can never fall behind in exp, so that's what people do, gank. If they nerf the early game snowballing gankers that suck late game, we'll just be left with the gankers with scaling that have no weaknesses.

Would you be surprised if they nerfed wukong and pantheon next? Vi, Elise and Lee Sin, along with those two, are simply dominating jungle picks. They'll never be able to achieve perfect balance with all champions, but when you see 4-5 dominanting a role that has about 20 options, you know something's just wrong. And, yes, I know this happens in other roles as well.

Problem with jungle is that it's so reliant on the meta at large, you'll notice that Elise and Lee Sin have pretty large ganking potential at a very early stage, Vi less so but still large compared to most. Either you can nerf those guys and watch the jungle become much less important or live with a small rotation of champs. Few bitch about the small pools support often has, nevermind how few ADCs actually get picked didn't someone complain that's it's solely Jinx, Lucian, Draven, and Sivir a little bit back?

I think what you're seeing is simply dominating players, not necessarily champs. Man I've seen some really crappy Lee / Vi players. I used to play Heimer alot, if there was a Teemo on our team I'd ask him to put his shrooms next to my turrets, people go to melee my turrets, I throw up ulti, they hit Teemo shrooms...lolll good times

Man, that stage at Katowice, potatos have really outdone themselves.

Cloud 9 and koreans dominating while EU teams underpreforming. Chinese were looking a bit shaky, they seem to wanna stomp early but if they go even after 25-30 minutes they dont know what to do and how to finish the game.

Fnatic vs IG now starting, hope for fun games today.
Strat vs chinese team = Pick Morgana, win game.

You guys hear about the revive trinket for dominion?

AKA, riot realizes dominion still exists, comes up with stupid ways to make it "better." The trinket will be active for the windmill fight, which for those of you who play dominion may realize, is already a gigantic level 3 clusterfuck in the first place.

Since all the cool kids are doing it...

That bottom one is a win as Kha'zix.

Really hoping to escape bronze soon. Two of those games were ones I had to salvage, both in a promo series. But I think that's a good thing, that I can win games with bad teammates and carry with good ones. Also did Xin for the first time in ages, great fun, had the enemy Renekton raging in all chat. (My idiot teammate picked akali top, of course I'm going to gank at every opportunity, buy a fucking ward.)

And to answer an earlier question, yes some people do play dominion. Mostly to practice champs I'm not good at and ability combos/teamfighting, etc.

The amusing thing is that I'm 9 and 3 this season as ADC but I really just don't play it because I suck at laning, at least compared to what I used to do. I'm just not as idiotic as the rest of bronze league when it comes to ADC. (Why does anyone rush an attack speed item for their first buy?)

I'm 5-0 as ADC this season for the same reason. Not very good at the role, but at least I have some basic understanding about farming, pushing and focusing on objectives over chasing kills. That's usually enough at lower Elo it seems.

Addendum: AS items (BotRK only really) is a decent first item on some ADCs (Vayne).

This is true, but it also does have an attack damage component with a passive that adds attack damage and an active that also deals damage. A lot of people start with a Statikk Shiv for god knows what reason, a couple start Phantom Dancer. I just start relentlessly chucking axes at their face at that point.

Yes, that is indeed dumb. It's not uncommon for me to get PD/Shiv as my third big item, after BT/IE and LW (or even two Best Friend Sword items if I go b with tons of gold). AS doesn't mean as much until you have some damage.

Yeah. I don't know if he's scarier on Kha or Lee. Also, does anyone know how teams get to play at IEM? Like why teams like SKTT1 or TSM were missing?

I think it's just about which teams actually said yes to the invitation? Think they mentioned something like that yesterday? Or the day before. Which is why there were more european teams present, since it's a short trip.
And TSM haven't had time to practice with Bjerg since the visa business, so makes sense that they skipped it.

This game is so painful to look at. Fnatic are getting raped all over the place even though they are one of the best EU teams. And then you remember KTB gets owned by SKT at home.
