How is the trashy encounter design in the original game in turn-based? Does it feel slower?

I dropped PF, trashmob grinding is horrible.
Thinking of another run with TB mod, but I think it will need a thrashmob reduction / better encounters mod as well

I just use the hotkey to disable TB mode quickly and then turn it back on for "real" fights.

yeah big surprise when you take a game with encounters designed with RTwP in mind its trash when you want to do TB later

same thing happened with pillars of eternity 2

If you build a mobile fast party dealing an insane amount of damage, surprise, it's not slow at all, you can also use the fast travel mod which can speed up everything without cheating.

At this point TB fight is faster than crappy RTwP and you actually know what you're doing.

Avoid all the random encounter if you can.
Skipping days and artisans quests are the real hassle along with loading screens.

Just fireball/cone of cold everything, get a monk tank who can avoid your aoe spells damage, nuke them all as fast as they spawn.

This is the best way to play. Otherwise, you'll spend hours slogging through a dungeon that should take 3/4 the time.
